Check the bottom of the tappets, I’ve seen the bottoms dent in giving that tapping noise 👍🏼

I’d put Half a weeks wages on it being a tappet gone dry or the other half my wages on it being a knackered hydraulic timing chain tensioner, hope you’ve sorted it now pal 👌✌️

Got a oil pressure gauge in it. If something was knocking bottom end oil pressure would be literally nothing. Cool build
It’s running 4.5/ 5 bar in start up ,
And start up and tbh it doesn’t drop much when hot .

Those bearings show out of round wear! When using ARP hardware the connecting rods need to be checked due to the higher torque settings

@@stephencayford3164 if that was the case would you not think the shells would be damaged??
@ I suppose they would be in a lot worse state… just saying what see. If any debris or metal from break in find its way in the hole in the shell it’s going to get trapped in there and cause a madness :(

Good update vid mate look at wen u take v dump off it appears to have phosphorus bronze flakes in v sump my misses can c them 2 , small end or chain related , remember u can have good pressure but have nxt 2 no flow, have found this on many a audi , skoda , vw with v oil pump drive key that wears out on them , definitely sounds like oil starvation wen running

@ yes head off 😭 if you turn the crank so each piston in at the bottom you may be able to push the connecting Rod up and have a little feel if there is any access play up and down with out the piston moving
