Once u start playing this song anyone would ultimately forget all their day's worries cause the song has such a great melody to listen to. Having Irene in the MV would've ensured that it got many more views, which would've translated to more publicity and more sales for this song, as well as for the brands of Irene, Raiden, and Red Velvet. So no, SM didn't choose not to include Irene in the MV because it was better than including her. Obviously she didn't have the time to be in this MV and/or SM didn't think it was, in terms of money, worth making room in her schedule for it.

I'm sad for Irene. People always compliment she's beautiful. She's an introvert and I'm sure she doesn't want to only be seen by her beauty. Introverts have attitude but that doesn't mean shes a bad person. People think that she finally showed her true colors, that she's mean and rude in fact we all have that attitude.
