You realize the picture tall and thin (as you say, portrait), the cameras won't stay still and the focus was off some times--but weirdly it worked.
ChrisBrengel because it gives it more character! It makes you feel closer to them, like you have a glimpse of their personal life. Also portrait is literally what it’s called when it’s vertical, landscape is the opposite. ^^

That bridge - with Wendy's voice that was overflowing with yearning, and then at the end, with Seulgi's lines that sounded like a promise. This song just hits me on such a deeply emotional level even six years after it's release. I wish for Red Velvet to keep making music for as long as they want and I wish SM will enable them to do so.
This just proves that RV is at a different level compared to other girl groups when it comes to music( which is the main reason i stan a group). I honestly don't care if they don't have as many views on youtube as other girl groups because it must feel so fulfilling to have such amazing artistic and diverse music as opposed to trendy music that sticks to one genre
Red Velvet and Mamamoo are the only two girl groups that I know who have such a diverse discography, they've tried all of the genres and constantly bring amazing visuals, even for side-tracks!

What I don’t understand with SM is that why don’t they promote the side tracks of their artists albums and why do they keep on insisting/focusing with their title tracks? They could release an MV or something.
I do believe that SM artists will gain more popularity if they just promote them in the right way because they have the best music indeed. 😒
SuYeolYam it’s how pop music has always worked everywhere :) it’s usually two or three title tracks that you hear everywhere and then they work on another album. The title tracks are usually designed to be popular, more catchy, and at first glance less complex and the rest of the songs are more artistic and less catchy and for people that buy the album- otherwise they wouldn’t have as much album sales because a lot of people wouldn’t have a reason to buy the album if they could hear the entire thing already, only die hard fans or collectors would buy it, so they design it like that for a reason ^^

SuYeolYam there’s a reason why SM is one of the big three companies: they know how to deal with their business. People need to focus on one song, one “catchy” title that they will remember. That’s how red velvet became popular. If they start to promote everything, no one will focus on anything anymore and people will lose interest.
SM has thought of that too, and I guess it's depending on the team that handles a group, e.g. for NCT's Neo Zone Album, the Brainstorming Team decided to make Track Videos of the songs and posting the full official audios of the songs on TH-cam which is crazy for an album promotion. SM really invested their effin money to NCT for producing those MVs, they trust NCT to return the amount of the capital spent to them. I hope, when RV returned with a comeback the Promotion Team would do the same tactics too.

It's cheap, that's true, but seriously I haven't seen anyone said this ugly and boring. It's really creative and fun watching since the girls look like they're having fun during the mv. I mean, have you seen any other kpop group has a MV like this before? (Personally I haven't). This MV also shows their visuals, even just filming in the car they look gorgeous. I accidentally clicked on this MV when I hadn't become their fan and it already impressed me a lot of a very distinctive girl group.

i used to have an online friend in a big online server, she was a reveluv as well. i remembered that time when it was late at night and i cant sleep so i decided to join the conversation that was going on. they were talking about how vast in genre and style of red velvet's song. one of them said that "i just" is really unique, suddenly she said that "i feel like i have listened to i just before but it was a new song at that time" i agreed to her and replied "OMG YES SAME" we talked and talked about how I Just seems to unlock some nostalgic feeling without having to experience the memory.
It has been almost 2 years since that happened, she has passed away last year. Coming back to this song now feels nostalgic yet frustrating as well. I have never met her but she was one of my most amazing best friend. I miss her so much
