    I was so happy to see that your notes transferred that I exclaimed out loud, “oh yay, it worked!” 😂

    When it comes to music notes (just like text) there is a right side and wrong side to read them.
    You don't want the music notes to be backwards on anything. Google the correct way music notes, treble clef, etc. should look before you begin your project.

      Thanks! I found it on Amazon. I think this is the one www.amazon.com/KWELLAM-Musical-Plastic-Embossing-Scrapbooking/dp/B07Y9GGW91/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=music+note+embossing+folder&qid=1616123439&sr=8-1

    Thank you. It's not always desirable to have the leather distorted on the flesh side. Have you tried just using the male part of the die on the leather so that the embossing is only visible on grain side?

      Hi. I have not tried it yet, because I would have to cut my embossing folder in half. But I hear it works well. I would just recommend using a foam surface under the leather rather than a hard surface. (I just use craft foam)

      Madame Ks Miscellany You don't have to cut the folder in half, just open it and lay the male part of the folder on the leather.

    What extra accessories other than the embossing folders are needed with the Sissix Big Shot? Does the Sissix Big Shot come with the 2 plexiglass sheets?

      It comes with the base platform, 2 plexi glass layers and 2 layers to help fill the space as needed.

    Do you like the Sissix or the Cuttlebug more for embossing leather

      I haven't used cuttlebug, but I really recommend sissix. You get a nice deep imprint.

    Can you cut through the veg tanned leather with the sizzix? I make earrings and use veg tanned from Tandy and have been looking at sizzix cause I have better die options I think.

      I haven't tried but I think if the dies are durable and the leather is the light weight 2/3 oz then it could work

    Hi there !
    Thanks for your variety of videos! I am relatively new to leather. I wanted to know if there is difference between veg tan leather and veg tan tooling leather? Which one are you using?

      Human Tales I'm pretty sure they're the same thing they just might go by different names depending on where you're buying it from. I typically use Craftsman Oak Leaf from Tandy Leather that's my favorite

    Does this work for most types of leather? Will this work with leather with a textured side? Tia

    • @MadameKsMiscellany
      @MadameKsMiscellany  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's best with tooling leather. I've had some luck with others but the imprint isn't deep. But works to get the design outline and paint it

    Do you spray or use a damp cloth on the leather

    • @MadameKsMiscellany
      @MadameKsMiscellany  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could do either but use plenty of water. I actually ran it under running water then let it sit until the color starts to come back. You don't want it soaking wet but you do want it well "cased" first
