Being a north indian I came to know about Pradyot in 2019 from that time his views,thoughts, humour I started liking & watching his videos. I can say that after this interview many fellow citizens who don't belong to tripura or northeast but they will follow pardyot manikya and talk about him. Politician like pardyot must come to national level politics. He had a big protest rally for 2 days in jantar mantar delhi in December 2022 for his demands but no national media coverage done by any media. Some video available in youtube

Winning an election in tripura being a tribal is outright impossible. As he mentioned people who migrated from Bangladesh (chakma) are the major population in tripura they know that if a tribal wins the election the fight for tribal rights will get stronger. It urges my heart thinking about how the outsider is overpowering the tribals. My Arunachal is lucky that tripura faced this situation first. Even in Arunachal that particular tribe (chakma) migrated for temporary shelter and are now trying for permanent residence or is asking for tribal status from our government but we have learned from tripura and are aware about what it will cost.

Bro, I am a Bengali living in Tripura and I am so surprised by his personality, the way it was portrayed by our political parties and news channel was baseless... I have never seen such a humorous and down to earth leader.. What ever he told about the problem of ADC and tribal people are absolutely correct, but tribals are also getting opportunities in govtment jobs and other services. The only problem is that the area of ADC is still undeveloped.. And yes if Bengali people in Tripura keeps on increasing, tribals have to fight for their survival, there is nothing wrong in that. But violence is what makes everything messed up.

No doubt that Bengalis escaped in Tripura for their survival.. But I have never seen that Bengali people are against tribal ideologies and their culture. Buddhism and Hinduism are not poles apart, and infact Bengalis and tribals have a lot in common. Common people like us don't really want any violence or political superiority, we would love to stay with tribal people at ADC areas peacefully. But not all people are same, most of the outrages are performed by party workers and political leaders to earn vote and eventually earn lakhs of rupees. The only exception here is Maharaja himself. I admire him so much.. He has no greed for any political positions..

Im from Northeast and I use to visit Tripura for my business purpose. Its very risky to travel alone at some outskirts area, Bengali's are real dominating tribals and the tribals cant speak out for their rights. Thy are living a rival lives. Illegal immigrants of Bangladesh are dominating North East of India.

Finally you did something right : you interviewed one of the most important and interesting personalities of the Tripura elections and let the rest of India know about him. It might have helped if you had also mentioned that SD Burman also came from Tripura, and that his father was actually one of the princes of the Tripura royal family.
