Thank the gods for this. My life has gotten better ever since Odin found me. I've even completely ended my alcohol addiction, 19 months sober.
I've encountered extreme hostility from christians since I was a child. Even had a gun pulled on me by a school bully who would regularly reference my nonbelief. However, when I learned the truth of what my mother went through when my dad died, the pastor my dad worked for stole my dad's tools because of a claimed debt my dad owed. The pastor was eventually forced to return my dad's tools to my mom but had replaced them with rocks in his toolbox. Having told this to christians the responses I get range from "the pastor will still end up in heaven" to "your mom deserved to have the tools stolen". In fact I've never actually had a christian condone the pastor's actions. If America is turning away from christianity, I have nothing but hope because it means people who grow up like I did won't have to suffer at the hands of that evil religion.

Jesus called professional pastors/shepherds 'hired hands' , or hirelings , or asalariados , depending on which translation or language it's in . John 10:12,13 . The first followers of Jesus did not get paid , and when He said that the worker is worthy of his wage , He was referring to food and shelter for the ones sent out . Most young people see the hypocrisy and lack of devotion and want nothing to do with it . I read a quote from a Chinese pastor of the underground Church . He travelled around arranging worship meetings , and always in danger of being arrested . He said he hoped that the Church in China never became like the Church in America . Now comes the time of separating the wheat from the chaff , the real from the fake . Would you go to jail for Him ? Would you lose your job , your home , your belongings , your friends , your family for Him ? It's coming on so fast most people don't even see it . Russia has troops at the Israeli border . Persia is beginning to strike . Jesus is at the door . We are there . People go on as if everything will continue . Wake up ! God Loves you !

AMEN! It's interesting that you bring up the being paid aspect. Neither Rick nor I get paid for doing this. This is a calling from the Lord. i don't worry about the money aspect. As it says in Matthew 19, Seek Ye FIRST the Kingdom of God, and HIS righteousness, and ALL these things shall be added unto you! God is Good and God is Faithful, and God is NOT a man that he should lie!

I think you confused Agnostics with Deists.

I don't think so... An agnostic is a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God or of anything beyond material phenomena; a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God. Whereas a Deist has a belief in God based on reason rather than revelation or the teaching of any specific religion

@@fullarmorproductions Right. He described a Deist pretty much the same as you did, but called such a person an Agnostic. Deists believe there is a Creator, but He's not involved in His creation, does not participate. That's what he said about Agnostics.
Quoting @5:10: "Atheists, who don't believe that there's a God, or Agnostics who believe that there is a God, but he's not involved in human activities,"

@@dorinamary7863 I agree, I did rewatch it, and I know it was just a slip. He really does know the difference... LOL
