Beaver Dusk to Dawn

I have recently started to see the Beavers in daylight for the first time since last year. The longer daylight hours provide this opportunity to see them at dusk and dawn.
They have been very active over Winter, making many changes to the landscape.
These clips are from a dusk watch into a dawn watch - long hours and very early! I did use thermal imaging in the dark - a very useful tool.
The first bit is from dusk at it was getting dark with a beaver walking along a huge willow tree they felled and starting to strip. Not sure if the beaver fell into the water or jumped!
The rest is from the next dawn, yesterday. The dawn chorus can be deafening and a cuckoo was continually calling - wonderful. Had some beaver sightings as they returned to the lodge for bedtime. The last beaver (probably a previous year's kit) had some willow to eat before another beaver came along and seemed to call it in. Lovely to watch at close quarters.
Looking forward in anticipation of more and of the first sighting of this year's kits. Probably mid June.
