- Yesterday, February 29th, there was a panel ran through Adult Swim Games at PAX East 2020. The game in question was additional footage and information regarding Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time. A Hack-and-Slash game based on the Emmy Award winning Adult Swim series that ran from 2001-2004 on Cartoon Network and was brought back for its 5th and final season on Adult Swim
Series Creator Genndy Tartakovsky and Writer Darrick Bachman hosted the panel and answered questions regarding how Mr. Tartakovsky evolved from working at Cartoon Network with Dexter’s Laboratory, Star Wars: Clone Wars & Samurai Jack Seasons 1-4 to working at Adult Swim with Samurai Jack Season 5 and Primal, along with other questions answered

@@3thanol132 so the way im understanding derek is that jack lost his memory thats the only logical reason considering jack recognized the guardian's place after 50 yrs in ep 9 of s5 hopefully ashi helps him in a big way

It's rare we would ever receive a new game based on this series. Makes me think other Cartoon Network IPs could get video games depending on if this one success on the millions of dollars and it will soon.
That’s only if Adult Swim is using the IP; CN has made it clear that they only care about Teen Titans Go

They can be true, but we have to wait until the game is released. I really hoped that they can bring Ashi back. We need Jack to be with her in a very happy ending not that series finale tragic ending.

Are there like DVD for the whole series because I can't really afford a streaming service right now.
Marco Rizo Are you looking for copies on DVD exclusively, or are you looking for Blu-Ray copies? There are 2 different sets:
1. Made from 2001-2004 when the show was airing on Cartoon Network
2. Made recently for the final season on Adult Swim, all beautifully restored in HD on Blu-Ray
There are also ways to look for the series, where each season is sold separately on DVD

I would like Demongo to be a Boss fight like Disney Hercules Hades boss fight mixed with ideas from Kratos fight against Ares in GOW1.... I like this character because I used to do mock up of this character and everybody thought it was very funny... Good times.... The game is looking good just hope they can capture the thrill of the battle properly just like Dark Souls battle system perfectly blends with the World it is set in... Slow and methodical... Samurai Jack is more adrenaline and sweat and about the thrill of the battle itself all while being calm and calculated... Quick slashes evasive dodges dashes and jumps all should be there... If they achieve this not only fans will like it but it will also appeal to fan of action/adventure games... Last but not the least progression or role playing elements at least sufficient to make it look you are getting better...
I hope we finally get an alternate ending where Ashi lives, and she settles down with Jack in either in the past or future. She has been one of the most redeemable character and the true hero of the story. This Daughter of Aku deserves to have more screen time! #BringAshiBack

Genndy said he has hasn't finished squeezing the life out of Samurai Jack. If he cares about all the fans who want Jack and Ashi to be happy together , hopefully we'll see Ashi come back in a series or movie.
they can as well retcon everything in the series:
-the 1st series with that episode showing jack as some kind of king with a crown and a long beard riding a horse and going into battle
-the comic book with him being some kind of king just about to go fight aku with everyone else.
-changing the ending to let the older gods letting ashi live as a reward to jack from saving the world.
it can be done since we are talking about time travels and they changing already the ending of the series.
@@GatoEpico What GatoEpico said! yeah, even in the final episode before it was done I was theorizing the gods might bring back Ashi. I know I'm not the only one who thought that.

Felt kinda bad for the creative director of the game, he was barley asked any questions. Still loved hearing Genndy talk about his creative process though.

i hope it has the original soundtrack , becuase i cant find the clean soundtrack of the series anywhere (there are a few ripoff form the series or remixes but nothing more)
15:12 i disagree with genndy about "the shadow of aku" not having the og voice actors, jack, mad jack, aku and the scotsman were voiced by their respected voice actors in that game aswel that that game was the last time we would hear mako as aku, so its unfair he disses that game it was good for its time (exept for the cutscenes) and i would have liked a port of that game to the new platforms.

@@Ncholasbloom i recalled genndy said in his season 5 Q&A that he dont know if hes gona continiou after season 5, since then he just wanted to finish the serie but since this is hollywood anything could happen.

Really weird to see them trashing Shadow of Aku (the older game). It had the original voices, it was pretty decent for the time, and seems to have a budget similar to this one. Had a great performance from Mako, and fun little boss fights and platforming.
Hell even the GBA game was pretty good.
Hey, at least that should give us confidence that they're focused on making a much better game. I agree it shouldn't be trashed tho.
