Does anyone remember the original pioneer ddj s1 controller? This may be the best controller they've made since that. I've used the sx series since and it just wasn't as good the way the controller was setup and the platter feel on the original s1
Ravine, how do you think these actually feel compared to the Nexus 2 kit?
I'm getting a warbly noise when I do a push or drag, and sometimes while scratching get a sharp, piercing, digital sounding squeak. I have a very powerful computer. Did I miss a setting somewhere?
Why does stick lock mode stay on?
Did they use a cheap mic preamp like most Pioneer gear? Is the sound quality better than the SX series?
exactly controllers mic sound is awful. you're better off with a real mixer

Take the original one stick it in ableton live make your own in minutes

The DJM 900 NX2 mixer has the ability to select which frequency the effects affects (low, mid, high) does this controller have it as well?

Has anyone tried to fit a ddj-1000srt in the pioneer djc-sc5 bag to see if it will fit in real-life? Only an actual attempt will answer this! ;)
(BTW. The width of the 1000 srt is 4.4 cm wider than the sx2/sx3 units that the djc-sc5 soft bag was made for; and the heights and depths of both ddj units are approx the same - but maybe IN REAL-LIFE the 1000srt WILL fit in the djc-sc5 soft bag?)
(I want to see if I'll have to buy another bag too if i buy the 1000 srt - or if I can use the one I have) ;)
Anyone know if this has the Crossfader curve switch/knob like the SX3 and SZ???
its within the software, if you scratch with a single fader curve then that won't be a problem but if you change your cross fader curve through out your set then it will be cumbersome. I think that its a good unit, but there are a few changes that need to be made.
I use a cheap controller and I just midi mapped the curve (in rekordbox) to an encoder I didn't use often. I'm sure it's doable in serato as well, though I know it's not ideal.

Capacitive jogs just seem way more accurate. I hate having to press hard all the time just to get it to stop. I like to be light and quick. That sucks
This prevents accidental touches, which is absolutely unwanted when performing.
in europe the price of this controller is 1500 €. Why does it cost a lot? Rekordbox version only 1050€!
Serato licensing fee I assume. The RB version is 100% a Pioneer product.
Now it is 1300€ for the SRT. Thats okay.

Bad idea, Pioneer just sank. The market share of Rekordbox will further regress. Those who did not know Rekordbox were forced to try it just because of the ddj-1000. they must update to make the ddj-1000 srt compatible with Rekordbox as well. Otherwise to make a choice people will go directly to Serato since it is more known, and therefore will not have the opportunity to try Rekordbox.
