  • Let the Napili Bay, Maui staycation begin! It is the 4th of July and we are headed to Napili Bay for snorkeling, beach, BBQ, and sea turtles.
    We packed up the car and drove up the road to stay at the Napili Shores. It is our first Maui staycation since we moved to #Hawaii. We kept our toddler active with lots of Napili Bay things to do.
    Our favorite by far was snorkeling with sea turtles in Honokeana Bay (turtle cove). Located south of #NapiliBay, this cove is the most reliable place to snorkel with sea turtles on #Maui. We see them every time we go, even from the shore.
    Since Jordan went snorkeling in the turtle cove, Erica headed to Napili Bay for snorkeling and some Napili Beach time.
    We had a wonderful stay at Napili Shores Resort but we have our eye on staying at Napili Surf or Napili Kai Beach Resort next time. There will be a next time because we love Napili Bay!
    Napili Bay, Maui was a busy weekend so jump ahead to your favorite part of our Napili Bay Guide:
    00:11 mins Napili Farmers Market
    02:04 mins Napili Shores Resort
    03:24 mins Napili Market
    04:15 mins Napili Bay Resort Tour: Napili Shores and Napili Surf
    05:45 mins Honokeana Bay Turtle Snorkeling (Hawaiian sea turtle paradise!)
    10:16 mins Napili Bay Snorkeling (more Hawaiian sea turtles)
    11:08 mins Napili Shores Pool and BBQ (4th of July)
    13:24 mins Napili Market: The Coffee Store and Gazebo
    14:24 mins Napili Bay Beach Trail

    I've been watching so many of your videos, mainly because we were taking a second trip to Maui last February. Now I watch them just because I miss it so much there...LOL. But I wanted to point out that Erica's enthusiasm and excitement is so genuine and is fun to watch when describing different sites. Keep up the good work!

    What a lovely couple you guys are.
    Back in the early 90's, I used to pick people up from hotels up and down there including Napili, and take them to the top of Haleakala and bring them back to their hotels and condos.
    Napili Bay is one of the best kept 'secrets' in all of Maui. (Expensive) 😊

    • @TheHawaiiVacationGuide
      @TheHawaiiVacationGuide  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is expensive, hence we were glad they are offering great Kama'aina deals right now! It must have been fun to be here in the early 90s and meet all those people! Thanks for watching.

    I’ve been holding off watching your video today because I’m sad and nervous that Hawaii won’t actually open in time for us to come this year. Watching your videos always gets me excited to come to Maui, and it’s heartbreaking thinking about not coming now. But, I can’t help myself. Your videos are alway good, so I’m hear you watch now. Fingers crossed that a miracle will happen and we can come still. I just don’t think we’ll find the good deal that we did for this trip again. All of us want to visit Maui so bad now. Ok, now I’ll watch. :)

    We live in Montana but have been going to Hawaii many times over the last few years, and fell in love with the Napili Bay area, bought a timeshare across the street from the Sea House Restaurant which is our favorite eating and whale watching spot! Last time we were there was just before the pandemic hit in 2020. So like everyone, we have been just staying home for nearly a year and a half. Can't wait until we can safely go back! This video sure made me homesick for Hawaii.

    Yup, still want to come to Maui!! Will add Napili Bay to our checklist if we actually get to come. I’ve only seen one turtle in the water while I’m snorkeling, and it really is quite the experience. I like the old town feel of Kauai, so I can see why you’d like the Napili area too. Thanks for sharing this side of the island with us. Mahalo and pray Hawaii can open in August!!

    I have heard several reports indicating that the governor will again extend the quarantine, blocking most tourists beyond the proposed August 1 reopening date.
    It appears that tourism anywhere in Hawaii is unlikely for several more months.

    • @TheHawaiiVacationGuide
      @TheHawaiiVacationGuide  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Five days os good as good stuff to explore around there. You may see small black crabs on the rocks but you won’t ever see the lobsters. They come out at night in the rocky coves

    How are the prices at Napili market? Should I get all my groceries there?

    • @TheHawaiiVacationGuide
      @TheHawaiiVacationGuide  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are Foodland prices so slightly higher than Safeway and others but a good local place. I'd shop there for the convenience and good poke.

    Nice video. We try to get in the water at Napili, but couldn’t find parking....🙄. Also looked for a condo...but most didn’t have A/C. Did your condo have A/C?

    • @TheHawaiiVacationGuide
      @TheHawaiiVacationGuide  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      When it gets busy then street parking is available but I've heard stories of people walking a mile+ to get to the bay. Before COVID, we recommended getting to the popular beaches before 10:30. Napili Shores installed split A/C units for each room. It looked like the Napili Surf had A/Cs also.

      Stay out of murky water. They are happening more often which is concerning but it shouldn’t stop people from enjoying the ocean.
