I personally prefer you talking. Hearing your ideas and thought process. Your explanation as to why you chose the way you decided to go that way. Great video Dalton.

My dad and mom built the same kind of retaining wall at our home in. N.C. It is still there 35 years later. Good job young man!

Nice video Dalton. Must have taken some time to put together, but at 70 what do I know! 😀. It’s nice to see the project straight through but I like the comments along the way also! 👍👍👍👍

@@Larry-325 this video probably took longer to edit than any other one i’ve done! Besides maybe the q&a. That one took a few days also

Well. I like the video. If you really want to go for some extra points, apply a filter to the video and make it black and white (grayscale) with no talking. Watching videos adjusted B&W, no audio is like you have been sitting on a tractor all day with a droning on noise and at the end you are rewarded with a silence that brings on a relaxation and clarity. A sudden weight off your shoulders. It really makes it easier to focus. 🙂
I work alone almost exclusively and after the first year or so of silence it became a huge labor to revert back to explaining vocally to others what I was doing. Keep moving forward. Great content.

🌹Dalton, although I had previously watched you work steadily on your retaining wall and marvel at your perseverance - and very often feel really sorry for you and all the strain you put on your shoulders and neck carrying those heavy beams ......
It was only now, since having watched the whole project in its entirety that I can fully appreciate the enormity of this job.
You accomplished an outstanding achievement - and you did it all alone - I am so very proud of you.🌟⭐
Being a part of your projects as you progress, enables us to go along with you. Thank you for that.
But once the project is complete then I think it is a brilliant idea to do a video like this one showing the job from start to finish without any narration. Very well done.👏🌹

Since we watched the series I put it in the screen and let it play so you got credit. I did other things while it played. Honestly we love you talking but will watch (or play) however you put the video out. Great Wall regardless!! 😊

From Steve in MD--Great compilation video of the start to finish! Did you document your time and materials so you can track your hard work??? It would be neat to do that on your projects and you can look back as you improve the property and watch the value increase.

This is great for anyone wanting to learn what it's like to build railroad tie retaining walls. You even left in that stuck drill bit, which could be helpful to someone. I admit that I sped it up though. (I've watched each one from the start.) You are methodical and very careful at the job. All in all, this was one tough project.
