  • Much was done to the engine, taken apart! But the main issue at the end, disappointingly frustrating! Did we get to our destination??

Many passers by.. no assistance 🤷🏻‍♂️ a 2+ week of pulling the damn thing! The ones who offered a tow, proceeded to let me do their locks and bugger off leaving me at 12am 😂 sad boater community times for me.. lol. As I said, one slowly works ones way through the engine. But that the last guy was the only one who stripped it.. hmm, it may have been janky & that was the only way to get it back in. Not saying it was the right way, when obv it wasnt. But the person may have not noticed just how bad it was. It literally takes very soft hands to take em out& put em back in. If its not some the person has done loads of times, or been shown. He may have thought its like a spark plug (which are also sensitive but deffo heartier than fuel injectors, for lack of better explanation). So if he didn't pay attn, he may have not noticed what he did, or noticed when it was too late. Leaving it for the next time to get fixed properly. Sadly there are many ppl who call themselves mechanics, and really have no business doing so.
    ...
It almost looked like you knew what you where doing when you pulled your boat military style. Old days, long gone? Hahaha I jest.
Your guys muscles must be screaming. I feel for both you and your brother.
Now, I read in a comment that you never asked anyone for help. Hon, that isn't how things work. If one needs help, you've gotta ask for it. Ppl can't read your mind, or know if you need help.
I know you said you dont like to rely on others yadde yah yah.. but then you alsi cant really complain either, now, can you?
Ppl often rather get asked if they can help, than just offer it.
    ...
Loads of ppl pull their boat a short stretch along the canal for various reasons. Many do not need any help at all. This is why ppl dont offer help, cause most wont think you need help.
One also doesn't know what knick the engines/boats that went past you are/were in. If their own engine isnt in top condition, they wouldn't want to risk pulling your boat. But since you didnt ask them.... Nor do we know what their own time table looks like.
    ....
Glad to know that you guys made it. Prob been faster if you had continued to just pull it to the Marina and then try to fix it there. But afterwards one is always cleverer & I know, we've established long ago, that I am a bad backseat viewer and commenter hahaha.
I am sorry that your boat was unfortunately in the current situation & location, beyond repair. I am glad you changed this, so it can get fixed. Plus, you now have had a qualified mechanic on board whom you trust. With it you now do not have to question if he is just trying to get as much money from you as possible. You now know, what is wrong. That is huge, cause not only did you get everything (or near everything) else fixed, but this type of work always hits so deep in the pocket, cause how long it takes to find and fix all these small issues. It makes one ending up questioning sanity tbh.
You've made huge progress in several areas. You got all the small engine issues taken care of, and zeroed in on what hopefully will be one of the, or the last issue. Plus you guys got the boat to where it needed to go. Progress is positive, even if it may not feel like much. It is!!
Now, we just need one or two videos and then the happy ending, or will the next one be the finish to this series?
Will we already see things in the next video not only all come together, but also everything working ou?t (boat runs, batteries are okay and werent drained beyond what they should be, cause that gets expensive, your engine repair being done not costing you an arm, leg plus your first born kid) & you not only got the job of your dreams, but your 4 legged best friend back on your side.
With the ending or parting shot of you finally sipping a nice drink on your boat, finding your sanity back & all that stress falling off of you slowly, as you now can turn and look forward to loads of happy times again & rebuild your lost savings.
Anyways onwards! Til next week, take care!!!
