    I just looked up what those red back spider things are. Yup. Never going to Australia EVER again!
    Sure there was plenty of them in FiJi, but never seen them personally or heard about them.
    Rig looks great, and wonderful nice modifications.

    Awesome suspension mods.. 👍👍. Also like the way the rack has been set up to make installation of the rtt quick and easy. 70th anniversary lights look tops 🍻

    How well does the K&N filter seal in the standard airbox for dusting?
    I still run standard filter. But use a Terrain Tamer. Gasket thingy. It's the shape of the airbox. Made of maybe 1.6mm steel. Glued into the inner lip of the lid, of the air box. Adds rigidity and places more pressure on the rubber seals. No more dusting.(A lot used to get past)
    Its been in there for about 3 years. Spotless. I do a lot of dust offroad.

    • @ridiculousthings4x4
      @ridiculousthings4x4  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've never had an issue with dusting to be honest. The K&N has a fatter seal, but the troopy still uses the factory one, again no issues. The factory one can be fitted incorrectly though, which I think is where the issue comes from.

      @@ridiculousthings4x4 I don't think they are all built the same...
      The dealer was the only hands that ever touched mine for 50k or so. They used to cover the seal with grease. Dusted all the time.
      A friend of mines 76. Who goes bush every weekend. Does not dust at all.

    Idle up is useful for upping your alternator output at idle for winching or recharging your battery quicker

      @@ridiculousthings4x4 why not? Increases your rpm by like 400rpm on my 80 series it’s the difference of 45amps coming out of my alternator to 80 amps coming out of my alternator. I use it all the time when winching someone out or charging my lithium battery quicker

      It's a 76. If you turn it on, it turns itself off again if you do anything at all, then decides to come back on when it feels like it. It's originally designed for warming up your engine in subzero temps, and on some cars you can't even use it until the ambient temp is low enough

      Against popular opinion, I don't actually rate them. I'd rather have consistent throttle response over a feedback loop adding or removing gain and dampeners. Each to their own though.

      I've never had the issue although I've heard about it. I've got a safari armax snorkel which might direct the airflow differently when compared to the stock one? It's quite a bit chunkier

      Mate rip off the factory grey pinch weld strip and replace it with the black stuff from bunnings with the added bulb on it. It's about 35 bucks per door, fits perfectly, looks factory and literally does about as much on its own as what soundproofing your entire cab does. Wind noise gone

    76 looks awesome with the 35's, how will you go for the legality of them? Keep your fingers crossed? Any final opinions on the parabolic springs, yes, no, never again? Keep up the great content!!

    • @ridiculousthings4x4
      @ridiculousthings4x4  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's arguably legal aside from the tyres. No wheel poke, legal lift etc, so I guess it's a mitigated fingers crossed. Apparently the 2016+ models are legal to have 35s without a mod plate for whatever reason. As for the parabolics. They're fantastic but ONLY if modded like I've done. If they're unmodified they're utterly terrible.
