It's time to get into the game again to play Siegfried. He do big sword damage now. Before this he do stick damage so I just bench him and play other characters instead.
Katalina's buffs are actually bigger than they seem. Previously, the only combo string that can get her to half-bar was her full combo string. Now, you can also get there with just one 3rd finisher or one skill finisher. Aside from that, she also has more flexibility now because her lower combo strings can be combined to get her to half-gauge too! TLDR: She builds Ares way faster now, making it less punishing to drop.
Charlotta's Warpath Sigil is actually a big change to her since it allows her to use her rapid slashes asap after a noble stance finisher thus giving you the ability to loop finishers forever (which is the bulk of her damage)
It's a massive change to her playstyle and build overall, yeah. Previously you tried to cycle abilities to get as many Noble Strategy finishers off as possible without needing to manually get back into Noble Stance via light attacking, now you just chain infinite Noble Strategy finishers like you're permanently in Link Time. Instead of Lunge being roughly 60% of your overall damage output it's now closer to 90%. Capping Lunge damage used to be a bit of a luxury but is now your top priority (which is really quite difficult and requires Tyranny, Stamina, Combo Booster, Combo Finisher, Injury to Insult AND either a 30% Attack Buff from Holy Knight's Grandeur or Valiant Stance or a 30% Defense Debuff via Shining Onslaught) and Alpha/Alpha/Gamma/Gamma is actually worth it now. You also do about the same DPS spamming Lunge as you previously did holding Sword of Lumiel, so it's better to drop that skill in favour of Koniggschild (if you're sensible) or Valiant Stance to cap Lunge more easily (if you're a baller).
But why would you ever do that? You get way more damage if you charge his triangle to the fullest, and with max charge speed sigil it can be pretty damn fast even outside of link time. Baffled by the sigil. Double the damage but at half the speed... No difference to dps but im now more likely to miss.
You pretty much can’t fully charge his raging fist in normal situation since bosses just run around or kill you during the charge. Being able to pretty much deal the same damage as a full charged fist like before without the need to charge it as long is way better in term of dps. During link time, he also deal x2 damage with his fully charged fist too. I think they made him this way to pay homage to his lore, the man mastered his punch and can punch down a freaking meteor in the story lmao.
As I main ID i somehow completely overlooked the lack of losing transformation until the gauge depletes. This is great because sometimes I'll hit Y one too many times and the boss jumps away so my whole finisher gauge is gone. I wonder if you can still cheese infinite dragon form with that sigil equipped. Ill have to get it and test.
So which Sigil is recommended to replace for the new unique sigils if you're running the basic amount of damage cap sigils and war elemental and supplementary damage? Im playing Rackam if that helps answer the question
Katarina’s ares gauge buff is huge. Because for whatever the fucking reason Katarina always end up at 49% after a set of rotations (skill +LH). Now it should be at 50%.

More atk, maybe. But more hp would just be boring. Imo, the easiest way to make harder content with the least effort is by making the critical gauge drain down faster. It just gives you way too much breathing room.

I think the reason why Ghandagoza didn’t get any buff because not enough people submit feed back on how to fix/improve his kit. I submitted a whole paragraph on why they should buff Rosetta and how they should go about it like increasing he roses’s damage cap as they level up. And I think the reason why that suggestion was taken seriously because other players may have suggested the same thing through feedback on their website. The more we bring attention to it the better, I believe.
I can't look at most of your Xeno- stuff since I'm way behind the curve still working through Xenosaga but I really appreciate the relink videos Enel, I love this game
I hope Vas' warpath sigil is useful. His playstyle felt almost like he was useless against most bosses, and you said he was the best in the game which made me happy, Enel. I just wanna know your opinion on how to play him better since he is horrible against Luci and it's kinda hard to land any of his XXYY attacks. And I don't run Less is More because I tend to try and play a role of a tank when possible for the party.
This game isn't and never was meant to be live service. It's wild just how much people don't want games to simply be one-and-done experiences. I would love more, sure, but I don't need it.
@surgecentral05 a one and done experience is fine, but when the final boss weapons trivialize every other fight, there's a need for new scaled up fights so you actually have something to do. These types of games are meant to be played for months to even years, but not even having a handful of semi difficult fights doesn't allow that. It's obvious that this is a fault of the game because a extremely large portion of players stopped playing quickly, but in other games of the sub genre like mh, there is no where near the amount of fall off. They either should have never added terminus weapons, or we need a new mode, because it just ain't fun fighting the same 2 bosses over and over again.

You need to try the charlotta sigil. You get noble stance after combo finishers. You can now just spam combo finishers. Huge buff for her.
Siegfried does really good damage in link time now 😭. The loop is basically instant perfect execution then damage ability repeat.
