- Jeff's (Animal Crossing) Wild World #31: I spot Harriet in the Roost for the first time in any AC game, Kabuki offers me a shirt and then never gives it to me, I give Victoria a cheap birthday gift, Pascal dishes dirt about salespeople, another villager gives me their photo, I score 100,000 points from the Happy Room Academy (HRA) for the first time and get my reward, Tom Nook kicks me out right after telling me to take my time, I give Wendell a sea bass in exchange for a pattern, I open a can of food for Benedict, and more!
This is Animal Crossing: Wild World for Nintendo DS, but played on the Wii U Virtual Console. This episode covers events from May 9, 2020 through July 18, 2020.

I wish the villagers acted the same as they did in older games. in the newer ones, they villagers are kinda bland. I miss when Nan would call Big Top a stupid sexist jerk because of a dream.
they have a few funny dialogues in new horizons- on my island, kidd told lily that he wished mirrors had his face on them, and lily said she didnt want to put curtains on her mirrors
I feel they would have an animal crossing direct that would add new dialogue and more quality of life updates sometime in the future

All the little sound effects like the treading on the snow carpet, and clip clop of walking on tiles is giving me goosebumps. I spent hours on this game as a child ❤️

@@alicehodges9964 How could you not? The dialogue was much more charming and interesting here, unlike in New Horizons where the villagers repeat the same 5 lines to you almost everyday. It's so lame.

I remember getting this game in about 2008 time (I think) and me my brother and my two friends used to play everyday and go to each others towns, the soundtrack of nighttime on this game hits me right in the nostalgia I remember staying up late playing this game and the music was so calming and nice
Hooray, a Wild World series even though it's an old game it's still a fun game to play around with, even on the go (for DS users only). I've just expanded my final section of my house, now I'm debt free even though I should have done this many years ago lol. The houses in Wild World have a realistic looking rather than (in my opinion), GameCube obviously it's the first ever game and Nintendo will make more because it's been played by over a billion of users worldwide. Congrats for you to see Harriet in Brewster's cafe, I only saw Rover and Kapp'n or Phyllis so far. This series is nostalgic and I'll continue to play it for years to come plus I'll continue watch your other Wild World videos and your GameCube ones too because it's a classic and it's fun to watch it over again. I don't want this to be out of topic but I just watched your Harvest Moon video and it is definitely another AC game but your a farmer instead of a resident, I may purchase the game in the future it's has good features and improved further on the Switch game.
I now know why Tom Nook kicks you out his shop and then closes the store... he may be doing his night-shift routine on wearing his "burglar shirt" and attempting to break into the residents houses when their not inside of their house because he's known as a "thief" in my opinion as in the beginning of the game, he charges you more until you expand the store which now Timmy and Tommy don't charge you more money at the start in New Leaf and New Horizons I think.
Tom Nook was such a stickler for closing hours 😒 I remember constantly going right before closing time just to get kicked out 😂 And yet the Able sisters never kick you out even past closing time 😂
This is why I preferred Retail over Nook’s, Reese and Cyrus would never kick you out and they would stay open longer.
@@link8042 Retail didn't exist until New Leaf though. So I spent all my years on Wild World being kicked out by Nook 😂

@Mahdi RANA Usually in the older games, This and City Folk for example, you had a higher chance of getting the cool/likeable villagers, unlike New Horizons/New Leaf where there's 400+ villagers, and your chances of getting good villagers are kinda small, for me anyways.

I remember in new leaf when I saw a npc at the roost and I went up on Main Street and saw that same npc when I came back there weren’t there I didn’t try this ever in a different game
I commented this because I saw Harriet on the roost on the thumbnail
New Horizons' shortcomings really make the older games shine! I've stopped putting so much time into NH (In fact, I hadn't played for a few days), and have started playing City Folk again. It's been a blast!

Thanks a lot man, because of your videos managed to get an used DSi for 20 bucks at a First Cash, the first thing I did was to hack the damn thing and installed immediately the Wild World, now can't stop playing it.

Ohhh this is some serious nostalgia!! I used to play Wild World for hours....I never actually got very advanced, as far as upgrading shops and such but gosh I loved it. Victoria was my favourite villager!

well, I'm glad to see that even if you already have new horizons, you don't neglect other games so much. Mathilda is pretty in my opinion (I don't know her in game because she hasn't moved to my town yet). hey jeff some hints please my town of the spanish version is almost one year old and Amelia (initial villager) seems that she does not want to give me her photo. I have done everything she asks me to do (give her things, run errands, etc) and yet she does not give me her photo. But I'm not giving up. In another topic I play wild world on my phone and while I was looking at the cheats to generate objects I found some interesting ones, they are cans of paint (they can't be used, I tried) I don't know if at some point in wild world nintendo think about being able to paint the roof of the house, as it happens in the gamecube game. (Sorry if some things are bad written i use translate)
I'm going to add this: although I could generate the photos, I will NOT do it for the same reason that Jeff does not do the time travel. I want to win the photos of the villagers legally, just like when there is a tournament (I do not cheat in that) that cheat to generate objects I only use it when my villagers wants an object that I cannot find anywhere (more like clothes or furniture, I don't do it when they want an insect or a fish) and how you make a wish In wild world?
Mathilda is my favorite kangaroo villager
@@londyngray3659 that's very good. Although (in game) I don't know the kangaroo villagers, thanks to the animal crossing pedia, I can get an idea of who they are. And although Mathilda doesn't look so "feminine" compared to the other female Kangaroo villagers. she has her charm and as I said before in my opinion mathilda is pretty. (I play in emulator animal crossing wild world and new leaf)

I’ve just started Wild World as of a week or two ago. I love mailing letters and having them mean something. I love when I get jealous because a villager gets a more detailed letter than me and I love whacking villagers I dislike with nets without feeling remorse. I wish the villagers were like this in NH. Though I like the villagers there and think they’re pretty neat, I’d love to see them getting competitive and feel regret when I don’t have a certain fossil for them, annoyance when the Able Sisters isn’t open and they want clothes, getting mad when they call me an antisocial freak for not getting them a catfish. My main goal is to get Nookingtons, and I’m playing on Virtual Console so it’s possible. See you on the other side!

Just the feeling of rushing into the store to only have it close shortly after (or in your case immediately) hit way too close to childhood.
Retail was superior to Nooks when it came to closing times.

Today I played city folks and... Coco was squabbling with Tiffany about apple and after this conversation I make fall the three "things" in pitfalls... I think that apple is going to leave my town named hyacinth.... Idk why I gave it this name
this i remember of sad of Tom Nook: He say anything about his sad and too he say that Timmy and Tommy is not son of Tom Nook and he never Married! This moment make Stay Worried! Which think this?
He adopted Timmy and Tommy, and he saids that they see him more as a mentor than family. There's a dialogue with Tom Nook in Happy Home Academy where he tells the player that he donates some of his bells to charity and to orphanages. Some people theories that one of those orphanages is where he met Timmy and Tommy

Jeff probably won't see this but a cool suggestion for a video is to show all the villagers who lived/live in your towns, it would probably be very time-consuming but I would probably watch it a LOT.

Harriet appears in Wild World still even if you have the Wii U Virtual Console version (which removes multiplayer, meaning you can't get anyone out of town to shop at Nookway to expand to Nookington's normally), you can still get Nookingtons in that version, just pay the required amount only.
Yes, I know (I got Nookington's in episode 7). But I was just saying I hadn't seen Harriet having coffee in the Roost before.

I play the Virtual Console version on Wii U, which doesn't have the upgrade requirement of having a friend visiting your town.

If you're playing on an emulator, it's probably emulating the DS version, not the Wii U version. But you may need to ask someone else more familiar with emulators.
