Hi is it ok if i were to include a sketch of another piece in my portfolio, in the portfolio? also what kind of art in a sketchbook is worthy of being added to your portfolio like a well done detailed sketch or thumbnails and etc.?
Hi! You should never add a sketch of another piece to your portfolio. You can add a flip- through of any sketchbook where you practice drawing from life- people, places & objects - a and where you brainstorm ideas. Hi! We're so glad you enjoyed it! It all depends on your skill level as an artist. It's best to start as soon as possible. We have a Portfolio Prep Intensive Program that's all day every day for 3 months. It's a a lot of work, but our students are able to complete a great portfolio during that time. Ideally you're making a lot of work all the time, and when the time comes to put together your portfolio you can choose the best 10-15 pieces. We hope that helps!

And did you need to make a fashion portfolio as well?
Hi! Each student makes as much work as they can, and then chooses 15-20 pieces for their portfolio.
@@angelaxuswl5994 Parsons doesn’t require Fashion illustrations, though she did include them & garments she constructed in her portfolio for Parsons as well.
