did anybody else notice that towards the very end of the music video, when all five of them were dancing in the midst of getting caught by the police, Irene was the only one with a blank emotion? While it was clearly shown that the other four looked joyous and free. i honestly haven't figured it out myself, but it's a really interesting theory to think about...
some say it's because irene decided to turn herself in to protect the other four

if you read the character spoiler, its explain that irene character is showed no expression.
If you watch the reve festival videos you realize 2 things:
-The reve festival is a dissociation of every member perspective from the events of chill kill mv and adresses some details to the plot, trailer and coreo of this cb.
-The murder wans't an accident at all. We can see irene, seulgi and yeri as a team. You can re-watch psycho and feel my rythm and the re-watch chill kill trailer, coreo and mv again. And thats wahy in the umpah umpah mv Wendy holds a swimmer. is actually very clear more in this video the real situation.

Yeah this comeback is tracing back to ReVe festival 2022 with the girls being controlled by ReVe.
The cat, which symbolizes the real Red Velvet, is no where seen in teasers and mood samplers of Chill Kill.
Connecting back to red velvet theories tho i love how irene and seulgi look like they are unphased by the whole thing while everyone else is freaking out and struggling. Just like we seen with old red velvet videos Irene is over everything and basically controlling the girls. A theory people had too is once seulgi was killed, in feel my rhythm and 28 reasons she went to her darker side as in feel my rhythm both of them are the only ones wearing black and tempting the other members (since the art pieces the mv was inspired by talked about life, sin, and hell and made alot of refernces to adam and eve. Kookielit bigger expanded on this).
Clearly within this story we see that irene is overall the main mastermind while seulgi was a good girl gone bad as she got killed and became evil (still leaving space for us to belive she could be aespa black mamba) and wendy is the hero.

I always thought it was a sequel to peek a boo.
There was an investigation to find the pizza boys and Wendy murdered the cop who was trying to get to the truth, and the group hides the body and burns the house down but gets caught anyway. And there’s a contrast of love in the lyrics where in peek a boo the group only wants new love and quick to judge and gets bored easily, but in this lyric the group is yearning for a guy to come back, saying that their soul is perfect and wants to see him again, while saying that him screaming at the group in disgust indicating their nature of mass killing pizza guys for fun was not completely from his heart. The group wants to hold the guy in his arms, and saying that they have changed.
The way Wendy holds Yeri hands in finale 🩷❤️💜

I believe the entire video is a metaphor for Lee Soo Man's very public removal from SM.

IRL, Lee Soo Man "birthed" Red Velvet amd was driven from the company he founded by his own family.
