I guess I am just too stubborn and hard-headed. I set clear boundaries before I got married. And I enforced them 😁. I never even let my own mother push me around. And I raised my daughter to be as strong as me, too.
I just can't understand all this bullying from in-laws. Maybe because daughters in law allow them. At the end, daughters in law married their sons not their parents. And, if in case the sons take the side of their parents, nothing left but to divorce. Nobody should live a hellish life.
In many religious, and cultural ways, once a female gets married, she's no longer a part of her family. She became property of her husband's family. She would then be trained in that family's ways and be the bottom of the tier. A servant. And the more money or higher that family's status, the worse she's treated. Plus in most cases, the elders would check her virginity before the wedding night and she would never be allowed to be alone until she births a male child. In today's world only small changes have been made to those old practices.
@@tinajoerossignolthat’s the reason, it’s not an excuse. I dated a Japanese exchange student in college for a while, and we started talking about marriage as a concept (discussing my mother’s 2 divorces). It never even occurred to him that marriages could be different from what he saw at home. I told him that my dealbreakers were: children (CF here), expecting me to run the house, I don’t clean toilets unless men sit down to pee, and I do not “obey” anyone. He said later it gave him a lot to think about. Oh, and it’s really disrespectful to refer to a human girl or woman a “female”. Female is an adjective when referring to humans, not a noun. That’s scientific and refers to animals.
@ire1398 never said it's an excuse, I said it the reason and you are hilarious about my use of females when referring to humans 🤣. We are mammals too, and we are males or females, regardless of age. 🤣🤣🤣
Wake up MIL there is no hierarchy. Marriage is a partnership and you have no say on how they live their life. It would be nice if you could be a decent person to your daughter-in-law, but that seems beneath you unbelievable.
Aren't these stories about wives who work from home, and looked down as as watching Netflix, playing games, or doing drawings all day getting a bit old now, and getting harrassed all day by the MiL's for not doing anything all day, and living off their husband's salaries all the time?
Melody should have been sued for destruction of property AND the constant harassment by text about the compensation she was trying to blackmail the exgf for.
These daughters-in-law show WAAAAAAAY too much respect to these leftover mothers.
HUH...HUH....HUH....HUH...AHHHHHH!!!!!
For a woman that is so concerned about education and class saying "HUH!!!!" so loud and often is very ironic.
What education does an incompetent need to be satisfactory to Helen?
I’d rather give $2000/month to a person I hire to walk back and forth in front of Helen’s house with a sign quoting the texts.

I was very clear with my family. My love for them is unconditional. My continued presence in their lives is not.

I can consider myself lucky then, that I was not born in those places with different culture.

Best to tell these in-laws to bug off as politely as possible. If they don't take heed, then be rude, PERIOD.

The "HUH" is irritating.

Don't let that crazy person blackmail you for money 😮
Bedridden from a broken arm? Seriously ?
Eggs and egg shells are good for a garden.

before anyone asks that's 3million yen, so divide by about 150

Hu ? Hu ? 😁 😁 😁 😁
Insulated or isolated?
Insulated, they would always be warm.
Isolated, they will be free from nagging MIL.
Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh? Write some actual dialog.
