I know, right? We just figured out that he was afraid of the red skin (he’s also afraid of red nail polish). Now he’s a happy skinless apple eater.

I can think of something Bernie may like to try. A bells bottle. Take an empty water bottle and put 4 or 5 tiny cat bells inside and replace the lid. The sound of it being pushed is what Simon loves. If you want to see it in action look at "simon the rainbow lorikeet with bells bottle". I'm sure Bernie will love pushing around a bells bottle.

I’ll give that a try. He doesn’t seem to like the little balls with the bells, but I think that’s just the texture. Since he likes to take on big things, I’ll try the bottle bell. We have bells here. Thanks for a great idea!
