I came across this channel a little bit ago when looking for inspiration/motivation for simplifying my lifestyle a bit better, I was in debt, room was full of junk, lack of motivation to do anything, one day i found your channel and I sat and watched a ton of your videos and each one inspired me to do something different or change something about my lifestyle, I got to work, sorted out my room, started exercising, paid off my debts and now I am working to continue building good habits, you have been able to help me do that, so for that I thank you. 🙏

I'm the same, I game sometimes and I'm a minimalist. I have a curved 32" for PC gaming. It's hard to find minimalist gamers, most of them are collecting tons of physical video games.
Physical games save space on your hard drive plus you own what you buy. No subscriptions required.
@@nutmeg9593 I have 6 terabytes of space, not a problem for me. I also don't do subscriptions, I buy games cheap for Steam.

Oo, under desk for the xbox.. I like that mount. I was going to ask what you did for sound, as I use a soundbar currently and trying to sort mounting. But you answered in video lol

How do you connect your laptop to your monitor?
I remember you saying in one of your digital minimalism videos that you created a new email address and started from scratch. What was your approach to transferring to the new address from the old one?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on a smart watch. I know you don’t wear one. I have for about 10 years now starting with the original Pebble watch and moving to the Apple Watch. I have mixed feelings on it.
On the negative end, the little thing collects so much data on me, I don’t even know what to do with it. I’m obsessed with filling those exercise rings to the point where I’m occasionally stressed about it. Everyone around me is wearing one. It used to feel unique, it no longer does, just feels like I’m one of the sheep now.
On the more positive end. It allows me to leave me iPhone at home as I can use it sort of as a dumb phone when I’m out. It keeps me motivated to actually stay focused on my fitness goals. I regularly workout anyway, but the Apple Watch keeps me going for a few more minutes if needed. I also keep all notifications off apart from phone calls and texts, so that’s not a problem.
My old mechanical watch has been sitting in my drawer on stand by waiting for me to go back to using it. I’ve had maybe 5-6 smart watches in the last decade, they become obsolete or slow, or at some point just visually unappealing. My mechanical watch I think has a timeless design that never really gets old.
I would use a bigger monitor, 4k Tv maybe

Did I miss, where is your PC? I know you said it used to be on your desk, is it on the floor or mounted somewhere? Do you use a gaming PC or just a laptop plugged into the monitor?

I'm a minimalist in everything else except for gaming. I'm fairly invested in retro gaming and physical media because of the crap gaming companies pull.
