I love to study . When i am studying i feel calm , fulfilled and really happy. But i can never get myself to start studying. I end up being on social media which basically drains my energy out.
I need to lose weight, study , finish my assignments But am just sleeping eating junk and sugary food and watching anime and reading manhwa all day I NEED TO GET MY SELF TOGETHER 😭

One tip I took from someone (maybe Huberman?) is to sleep. They said if you keep getting distracted or otherwise can't focus, just take a nap. This means that your whole time is spent choosing between sleep and study. I did that. 30-60 minute nap, then it's a 6 hour study sesh.
What helps me is what Atomic Habits says, make doing something easy. I keep my books on my study table open at the page where i left off, and just start. I'm pretty distracted but starting small is always better than procrastinating it all together
As a person with ADHD, it's a game of endurance and a game of subtraction. Subtract distractions, subtract distractions in environments at specific times. endurance being : If I wanted to say read a textbook for three hours, then Id have to spread my hours out especially when learning new concepts. Juggling ideas in my head is mentally exhausting.
Girl… same, i try to write down whatever idea I get immediately (because of that I have lots of sticky notes laying around😂 and lots of notes on every notebook I won) and I organise them weekly or whenever I feel a rush of motivation to do it. Also if you feel all over the place and lots of tasks in mind, declutter cuz its likely that you have something in mind that you don’t wanna forget or your plan has changed so create a checklist of everything so you can plan them later. No naming the checklist (or maybe name it decluttering checklist) and put everything in there. Then when you’re planning your week or day check it. 😂also mine never gets empty so don’t worry about it, most of the time it’s very small tasks
i have adhd too and i have a note pinned to my phone home screen for ideas for goals i'd like to achieve this year. i find, because i know i'll forget things, if i have a "really good idea" i don't want to stop thinking about it so i don't lose the idea and the motivation to achieve it. just writing it down clears that out of my head and also gives me a clear idea of the kind of person i'd like to be by next year. for example, i'd like to be the kind of person who donates blood and makes time for personal programming projects :)

Every College student needs to see this video, *every student ever (and teachers) need to see this video* seriously this is what I need to fight my non existent motivation.
1. Make your schedule according to your energy levels 2. Set deadline to the task, this is called Parkinson's law, if you have more time to complete the task, you will procrastinate. 3. Maintain a good baseline level of dopamine, you scroll on phone because you wish to get dopamine hit. Doing nothing will still climb the dopamine, or do the things which you hate, exercising, cold shower, push-up, or push yourself to study 😂
Thank you Tina 💙 for the amazing content. Even though we are procrastinators, you have successfully figured out how to deal with it. Thank you once again.
How To Create A Self Study Schedule It will depends on the type of day: 1- *A relatively Predictable Day* 02:34 2- *A open schedule day (e.g weekend, holiday )* 04:30 3- *Unpredictable overwhelming day* 11:20
I think someone needs to teach me this but in the opposite order because the only thing I get done all day is self studying whilst neglecting every other thing.
Hi. Thanks for your great advices on self-study. The dopamine theory made me very excited. I told my whole family about it.😂 It answered many questions I had, for example, "Why do I get really active when I show up at gym regularly?!" 😅 Now I know. BUT I still have so much problems with my consistency in studying. You see, some days I study for 6 hours and some days I barely make it to 2. I feel like running away, and it scares me even to open the book. Also let me tell you I love what I study at the moment. So it's so annoying. Can you help?
The fun thing is that I wake up at 6 in the morning on most days, (I am not a morning person) and then go to school, to get back home at 4pm. I somehow make my way to my bed where I crash and watch youtube, and then it is 7pm. I haven't studied at all, and the distractions are too much. I then will study for a few hours, watch some more youtube, then ill start studying again. Suddenly it is 1am and I have to be up at 6am. This is how I roll during exam season at school. It is not good because I am always tired.
Hello Tina, Great video. I could really resonate with the concept of energy management and time management...extra thumbs up for that. The dopamine theory that you discussed was a bit difficult for me to understand so I am going to rewatch that specific part of the video again. As a suggestion when you are explaining specific concepts in your video I feel it would be wise to tone down the background music that you use in the video as it distracts the viewer from what you are saying.
1. DOPAMINE TRICK - do something that you really really hate .. u will feel good after its done {example - workout} 2. treat youself after the work is done 3. teach on youtube after learning {LIVE STREAM}

What helps me is what Atomic Habits says, make doing something easy. I keep my books on my study table open at the page where i left off, and just start. I'm pretty distracted but starting small is always better than procrastinating it all together

Every College student needs to see this video, *every student ever (and teachers) need to see this video* seriously this is what I need to fight my non existent motivation.
Love the analogies about Dopamine! Really helpful video, Tina, thank you ❤
1. Make your schedule according to your energy levels
This video was so relatable.....Thank you for posting this😄
this is so well put together! exactly what I was looking for definitely really helped thank you so much love the videos! so beautifully edited 🥰
This issue(i.e watching mobile and not studying 🚫) is approximately 99.99 % of cause of my Parents' argue and complain with me . 😅
I completely forgot doing something you hated generated dopamine. Thank you for sharing this,

How To Create A Self Study Schedule
It will depends on the type of day:
1- *A relatively Predictable Day* 02:34
2- *A open schedule day (e.g weekend, holiday )* 04:30
3- *Unpredictable overwhelming day* 11:20
Night owl here! I'll go back to college classes starting next week... Helpful video for organizing my schedule during this week 🤓
The tips were super helpfull! I really needed to hear them.
I think someone needs to teach me this but in the opposite order because the only thing I get done all day is self studying whilst neglecting every other thing.
omg i literally LOVE your skin, what's your skincare routine?
Thanks this really helped.. m trying to self-study while working but I just always feel lazy or spend d time on social media
Great tips, thank you .. I'll definitely be trying the dopamine hack out 😊
DEADLINES DEADLINES DEADLINES!!!! THEY WORK!!! This is what I use. Just say you're gonna study/work till "this amt of time, till xa.m./p.m.".
1:47 I panicked for a second, I thought my laptop is shutting down on its own
OMG your skin is flawless:3
Thank you for the tips! It helped me a lot!
Its worrisome that now i don't even feel disappointed in myself after wasting my time.
Thanks for you experience. I will try to implement them in my life. ❤
This is one of my favorite videos that you have done!
Guilt mode for not studying!!

I completed my school and its been over a month now and I am still lying on bed with my phone instead of starting studying for college entrances.
When I saw the thumbnailI was just like :
"How did you get to know it ???..."
😅
this was really helpful, thank you!
Can you give a skincare routine 😂 you're skin is literally goals. It’s glowy all the time
You’re like TikTok algorithm publishing video as per my life style 😂 I was planning to make a study schedule for the last 2 days
is a sign 😂
The fun thing is that I wake up at 6 in the morning on most days, (I am not a morning person) and then go to school, to get back home at 4pm. I somehow make my way to my bed where I crash and watch youtube, and then it is 7pm. I haven't studied at all, and the distractions are too much. I then will study for a few hours, watch some more youtube, then ill start studying again. Suddenly it is 1am and I have to be up at 6am. This is how I roll during exam season at school. It is not good because I am always tired.
I don’t even have time to procrastinate I have so much homework
Hello Tina,
Great video.
This was really helpful Ty sm 💗
1. DOPAMINE TRICK - do something that you really really hate .. u will feel good after its done {example - workout}
2. treat youself after the work is done
3. teach on youtube after learning {LIVE STREAM}

Thank you for it ,love from india ❤
