I have shot the 19X several times and Love it about 500 rounds however for me the P320 CarryX is a great pistol I was far more accurate and just liked the trigger better and that is saying a lot for me as I am a Glock guy. Either of these are high quality that I would bet my life on.
All reviewers of the Glock 19x should all keep in mind that this gun wasn't made with any intention for the gun being concealed.. the gun was made to always be carried on a duty holster for soldiers and law enforcement. That being said the purpose of buying this gun is mainly is because you love glocks and you can just buy it. I have purchased 19X and i Love it. I don't intend to make it a carry weapon at all... just adding it to my collection. its a beautiful gun i would recommend it for your collection addon.
hammerglock42 - Exactly! It was not designed as a civilian CCW. Glock is just selling it because people want it. Just like people want the Colt 1911 made for the USMC or the Beretta M9A3. Glock may eventually do the 19 frame/17 slide but in the meantime, people can do a grip chop or get an aftermarket frame that does the same thing. I purchased one as well through Glock Blue Label program. It’s my first personally owned Glock. It’s going to be my WROL/SHTF kit.
Actually if you Appendix carry, the 19X and G45 conceal just fine. But I don’t disagree with you, just saying it can actually be concealed pretty easily.
I have Glock 26 as a carry gun and G17 as a home defense gun both Gen 5. Like them both. But I really like the modularity of the Sig for cleaning the gun.
I carried a g19 for years and love glock. Bought a p320 compact and retired the 19 that day. I now have the xcarry and put my 320 compact in my safe as a backup. The glock trigger to me is not as good as sig's and im a trigger snob. Both guns are great and it comes down to personal preference
I have to salute you for your comment with guys with big hands to a glock 19 im one of those guys and always hated the fact that the 19’s grip is so small, the 19x fits me like a glove. Dont know why all the guys are crying and complaining the gun was made for the army it was never intended for civilian life so stop crying the 19X is awesome and im a CZ fan.
I think people are forcing themselves to hate it so they don't go out and have to spend more money and buy it. On top of that they won't even try and shoot one as they might actually like it.

@Pitzman’s Mustard military don't complain. They specify, put the contract out and pay the sum to the contractor. Civilians complain, never satisfied and don't guarantee a profit.
I didn't hear anyone crying. Both guns are stellar. I can only imagine how it would have been to have a striker-fired weapon in the Marine Corps! Clearly Glock believes there is a commercial market for the 19X, whatever that is. I have both, carried both and have loved Glocks since the 80s. I have always wanted to love me a Sig but size and weight have kept them in the safe, 229, 226, 2022, and the pocket guns. BUT, once I found the XCarry and shot it, I won't go back to any of those. For me (note personal preference) the size, shape, and grip module of the XCarry is perfect. I'll buy another for off-body access (let the off-body carry debate begin). The DLC coating on my gen.5 slides is holding up extremely well. No holster wear at all after 100’s maybe even a thousand or so draws. I can’t say the same for the barrels tho. Both have started to get the Glock smile within the first 100 rounds or so. And I keep my guns well oiled, some mag even say to much for their liking. I find it odd how the slides do not wear but the barrels do. Must have something to do with the heat build up on the barrel maybe? What are your thoughts?

The 19X will be a limited run if Glock doesn’t see the numbers/sales they want this year. The actual 19MHS with manual safety is being released to civilians at some point this year, and they will only be available in a limited number. They will be offered in 9mm and .40, the same as what they submitted for MHS trials. I never knew the coast guard carries .40.
Robb M sources online are stating the 19MHS with manual safety is to be released. Also heard the same from my LGS owner. He was told from one of his reps/inside sources at Glock. As far as the 19X, I saw several shot show videos where Glock employees stated the 19X will continue as regular production as long as they see the sales they are looking for.
In your view, does the 19x shoot much different than the G17 G5? Thinking about 19x but already have a G19 Gen 5 and not sure if the trigger on 19X is any different than the Gen5s. Thanks!
The Army asked Sig to add the locking mechanism. Obviously, they changed their mind from the original specs. You said it like Glock had an advantage over Sig because Sig made a rogue design decision
i dont shoot alot and dont have a gun. but im looking. so when i was at the store a week ago, i didnt like the g19 grip. short. im looking for something little bigger like maybe the sw mp full size 4.25 or maybe the compact and use the extenders. but i can see why the military would want a full size grip.
it does make a difference...it definitely makes for a flatter shooting gun imho....both the 19x and 320 carry are excellent. I think if you can't have both, I would recommend holding them both before you buy to make sure you like the feel...the 320 is slightly chunkier and would work better for those with larger hands although you can always get a different grip module....both awesome guns.

The 19x in my opinion is the best out of the 3, and its not even close. The finish, durability, and the fact that it does everything the others can just as well, in a lighter package.
Nice review, I have the Sig P320X, and the Glock 19.5 and 17.5, all great guns, we are living in an also great time for gun enthusiast's , guns are just getting better by the day...I'm not a fan of the new Glock 19x, but it may grow on me as time goes by, just never been a poo/dirt colored guy, like my guns black, maybe the 19X will be offered this way in time, or a 17x slide on a 19 frame, that might tweak my interest...
I have to disagree with you on the 19C vs standard 19. Does the 19C give off slightly more flash then the 19? Yes, but it’s not to the point where I’m actually flash blinded as you said. I can shoot my 19C just as fast, and reacquire my sights as one of my standard G19’s. The difference is even less noticeable when running a WML as well. Either way, it has no impact on my adapted night vision. The only thing I can’t attest to, is very close quarters indoors. I could see it possibly making more of a difference there.
Keith Gemmill . Agree with you 100%. Also, self defense ammunition tend to have less flash to them than the range ammunition. There are actually videos on TH-cam debunking this.

why? comparing apples to oranges...the M17 is a full size (4.7 barrel) where the 19x is a 4 inch barrel....I think you may be confusing the M17 with the M18 which is basically a p320 compact (3.9 inch barrel) with a full size grip and manual safety....

I just got a 320 X-Carry for $559 and $15 transfer. Nothing against glocks, but the amount of features on this thing from the factory is compelling over a Glock at that price.
No need for concern. The X-Carry was designed after that issue was found. They have overbuilt the internal safeties to absurd levels now. Don't believe me? Buy a rubber mallet, go to the range and beat on the back of your pistol. You can't make it discharge.

Tycho Caine I stand corrected! My Springfield XDm 3.8 9mm has the ambidextrous mag release. I was wrong :-) I just keep the mag releases for a righty on my two 320s, because I have HUGE hands and I just use the middle finger on my left hand to press the mag release for a righty.

I still prefer Glock over sig any day. It looks to me like the sig has its barrel over all higher in the hand increasing stability problem. Where as Glock sits lower. I don’t like the sig basically.
GLOCK 17 Gen 4 is KING. 19X is a Hybrid knock off. The 17 is the only model not prone to malfunctions. It's all about weight and ergonomics with the 9mm and the slide. The 19 is not the best GLOCK in the world. Sorry all you 19 fanboys, The truth hurts.
Durhamite77 have both 19x and xcarry. The Glock is the best Glock I’ve ever shot. Even better thanks my custom 2300 dollar Glock. (Sad but true). The carry is much nicer than the regular p320’s I’m a Glock fan boy however the carry is pretty awesome too. Either would be a great choice.
David Welch I’m a Sig fan boy, but LOVE Glocks as well...I shoot Glocks very well. I actually EDC a G26 and have a Gen 5 G19 for SHTF. But that Sig is awesome and I use it for home defense. Like you said can’t go wrong with either

Thinking about that p320 xcarry. Currently I'm carrying MP2.0 compact, formerly XDmod 2 service. The mp2.0 is showing me I prefer a full grip.

Also, a big plus, the Glock 19X & the SIG P320 were the only pistols to pass the US military modular test for the Army's new service pistol.
19X has maritime cups on the striker so it’ll fire much more reliably if you get into an underwater gun fight. Haha

Just picked up an xcarry with gray guns frame. Nice weapon but I'm concerned with the drop safety issue.
There is no drop safety issue with the x carry. They have a different trigger then the standard P320 that had drop safety issues in the past.

Durhamite77 have both 19x and xcarry. The Glock is the best Glock I’ve ever shot. Even better thanks my custom 2300 dollar Glock. (Sad but true). The carry is much nicer than the regular p320’s I’m a Glock fan boy however the carry is pretty awesome too. Either would be a great choice.
David Welch I’m a Sig fan boy, but LOVE Glocks as well...I shoot Glocks very well. I actually EDC a G26 and have a Gen 5 G19 for SHTF. But that Sig is awesome and I use it for home defense. Like you said can’t go wrong with either
