The inner performance of mental whispers must be unceasing, undaunted by reverses. Then the desired-for object will materialize.

Whenever I hear one “Man” judge another on how they choose to pray, I am immediately turned off. That’s egotistical talk.
That type of attitude always bothers me too, but I don't think he means it that way. Had he been judgemental and biased I wouldn't have started to pay attention to him.
I think that here he's only sharing what he thinks is the best way and he encourages it because of how well it worked for him and others. I don't think it contradicts all the times that he and others, like his guru, have told eveyone to do their best with what they think is the right way. I love that part in his autobiography where he writes about Lahiri Mahashaya telling people of different religions to do whatever they thought was proper, but to commit to it.
I have been talking to god, praying and surrendering to him... he doesn't care about me. Never answers, simply doesn't care. Everything is "hidden" and given only to gurus that live on the other side of the globe. God has his favorites and Im not one of them

He is closer to you than you could ever dream of. I will tell you a secret though, God loves you so much that he never says no to you. So please don't say things like you are not his favourite, not only is this untrue, it is also making it appear (notice appear, because God is never far, he is the closest of the close) as if you are not his favourite. This is because it seems like this is what you are asking of.

Why did Yogananda use the term “ Sin” so much….when there is no such thing as sin? God has spoken to us in our day & time and has answered every human question of importance. Yogananda seems to feel the bible is important and special yet it is not. It is full of the feelings, desires, rules and laws of those corrupt, power hungry early Roman church leaders. Christians believe God spoke once and will never speak again. And that is the most idiotic, insane belief ever formed in a human mind.
