Oathmark is fast approaching its April release and Gerry is unboxing Heavy Dwarven Infantry for the game.
The forces of Osprey and North Star Figures are combining to bring out a mass fantasy battle game. And today Gerry is looking at a box of Heavy Dwarven Infantry to run on the tabletop. The box allows for a total of 30 hairy warriors to run amok in your future battles.

Really like the orcs. Have a real Tolkein fantasy look to them, like how they are described in the books.
Rory agreed; whenever I get around to playing LotR:SBG (or Me:SBG. I think its called these days), the Oathmark stuff is high up on my list of stuff to use to make armies that are closer to how i envision them from the books than the interpretation in the Peter Jackson films.
This fine gent looks like a battle veteran of the Dwarven Clans himself.

Can't wait for Oathmark to be released, all their kits so far have been lovely. I might have a few minor quibbles with each kit (I count 4, very minor, things in this one), but that isn't preventing me from going "I want more!!!" for almost every kit they release, never mind the ones I actually buy.

Can be used for Warlords of Erewhon
I already have a box of the human infantry, goblin infantry and dwarf infantry. I'm looking forward to putting some of these together too and I have seen the goblin wolf riders and they look great as well. I have been basing all of mine on Renedra 25mm round bases for use with Warlords of Erehwon and Song of Blades and Heroes.
Love the enclosed helmets on these figures. I am amazed that Cities of Sigmar haven't swarmed all over this kit. Units of 30 Duardin seem like a genuinely scary problem in AOS, and you get 30 for a good price. Individually these models seem a great basis for an adventurer model - add backpack, belts and heroic details, beauty. I have seen successful conversions between the Oathmark Dwarf set (not this one) and Frostgrave kits so I'm keen to get this kit. So many North Star kits, all of them so friendly to conversions.
Darren Kennedy probably depends on how many are playing in GW stores and how many are playing just at home/cubs/etc due to GW stores having a GW minis only rule. Also there are probably some who either have a GW only for GW games mindset, or who aren’t as aware of other manufacturers as others and thus might not even know about these.
I’ve been building my Saga: Age of Magic army using these figures. They’re quite nice.

I've been doing the same! The sheer level of customisation in Age of Magic is fantastic.
I dont think units are restricted to a 4x5 footprint; iirc in a recent article on OTT an example army was shown and they had units of other sizes. No idea if its like WHFB where you can have whatever number you want or like KoW with multiple set sizes though. Also, fairly sure the same article mentioned individual casualty removal.
Great multi part sets are always a joy to construct.
I like that the warhammers actually looks a lot like real world weapons.

These look like good proxies for Khazad Guard for MESBG.
They look pretty decent. I miss some of the older GW metal dwarves, though. Those were fantastic

A comparison with dwarf from GW or KOW would have been nice
I don’t think Animus was being ungrateful. He was just making a suggestion of what would make the review more useful to him. Obviously he doesn’t know the BoW and GW history. And I’m pretty sure Mantic would only want to appear in reviews of their own products. But I get where he is coming from. Comparisons would be useful. Though not a realistic expectation. There’s a lot of politics in the world of reviews.

Sean Morgan you dont have to decide; from what’s been shown thus far it looks like you can mix n match all races.
