Get Stronger Nails with a Gel Overlay!

- What is liquid builder gel? If you haven't heard of this product yet, you are in for a treat! It's a soak off gel, that gives just the right amount of strength to natural nails. It soaks off but you can also infill it! I do reccomend soaking off every 12 weeks or so, but sometimes you don't need to.
I use this on most of my clients nails, under gel polish, or on its own for a natural look. Everyone who has tried it, loves it. And some clients have gone a full year or more without 1 single broken nail.

Highly recommend applying builder in a bottle the same way you would with hard gel, do little smiles from side to side always keeping the brush in contact with the gel to avoid bubbles and those little waves on the side that you got, it also helps ensure that you cap the free edge. You should always apply a very very thin layer of the builder gel first and apply it with the same technique you used in this video, very thin but applied like a regular polish from cuticle to free edge, cure that then get a small bead on the brush, place it next to the cuticle and use the brush to push a little back to the cuticle then use the back and forth method like with hard gel, cure that and then ALWAYS ALWAYS remove the tacky layer before you do anything else whether it be a gel polish or enhancements like tips or whatever. Also because the gel is so soft you should use a 240 grit file when filing at the end.
Love how simple that was....loved it short and simple...for me a beginner. ❤
Thank you for the positive feedback 😀
Hi love your nail colour the bright pink, please may i kindly ask what the shade name is as i would love to get it 🙂
Im so sorry, but I have no idea! This video is super old. xo
Thanks for the video, love to learn new technics :) let me ask you something: do you use a new hand file every time?
Hello 😌 no I don't use a new file every time. Usually every second or third set depending on how much filing I do. I use filecide between clients. But check your countries regulations because some places are really strict.
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie thank you for your reply :) here I read I can do the same, clean them between uses. Have a nice day 😊
Hi I have bought these builder gels from premier gel cause I do love their colours but I find that they give you a really bad heat spikes, I did not do it to thick, have any of your clients experienced more heat spikes than usual with this gel? Thanks
Yes, usually on the first overlay, there is a heat spike, with infills not really. I us the low heat mode 90 second setting on my sun lamp and most people don't experience spikes. But some are sensitive even with the low hey mode..
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie Thank you I will try that, 🙂
Hi Courtney. I have been practicing natural nail care since middle school, my nails are very long and strong but I am interested in starting to do gel overlays. My normal nail regime consists of applying Rejuvacoat or OPI nail envy everyday, (right now I’m using Rejuvacoat) I apply cuticle oil, do garlic and olive oil soaks every Sunday, as well as use glass nail files. My question is, if I started using gel overlays, can I still continue with my Rejuvacoat regimen? Is this something I can apply under my gel over lays? Love your videos.
Hiya, I'm not really familiar with rejuvacoat , it looks like it's just a nail strengthening polish. If that's the case, you wouldn't be able to wear it underneath a hard gel / builder gel. But you could if you were wanting to wear gel polish. The gel polish just may not last as long as it would without the rejuvacoat. Xo hope that helps 😘
Thank you so much I've found this video so helpful 😁
So just Im clear it goes basecoat builder gel, file/buff and basecoat once more??
Yup. And then go in with your gel polish.
Nice to see you on TH-cam again, it's been a while. Those bottled builder gels are quite good! TFS👍😍
Thank you! Im so pleased I finally had time to upload this video. I filmed it back in February! 😣
Hey, is a license required to purchase? Where can I purchase? The link directs to a error webpage.
Hiya, no you don't need a license to buy these products. Sorry about the links, they chsnged their website recently. I have updated them now but not direct to the products I used as they're often out of stock. Just go to the premier gel website and navigate to find a rubber base-coat and a liquid builder gel that you like the color of. Xo
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie Thank You QUEEN!🥰
Do you have to remove the sticky layer of the builder before applying the base and color? And do you have to buff the builder as well before applying base and color? I just bought a builder and want to make sure I use it correctly :)
If you are happy with your shape after you apply the builder, usually you can just put a color over it. Each brand will be different though. If you have to file it or buff it or wipe it off, you'll need to apply a base-coat before the color. ☺️
I’ve had my nails done by Cortney before she dose an amazing job 😁
Aww you are so sweet grace! Thank you ☺️

Helloooo😍😍😘😘 Lovely to see you back again.
Thank you! 😘 It was strange doing a video again after so long away! lol
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie you will get right back into it.😉
My natural nails are very sharp and so I usually get acrylics to dull them. Would this do that?
Builder gel does for me
yes, absolutely :)
Hi please tell me how can i get the black box that you put the false nails in it .
Hi, if you look for necklace boxes on ebay or google, you will find lots of options xo
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie thank you 💕💕💕
Is this apres gel ???
No, I've never bought apres gel. It's probably premier gel or the gel bottle.
Do you not need to use a bonder under the base coat?
Some people use a bonder. I don't believe it to be necessary tho and haven't used anything like that for years.
Is your light by light elegance .?
Hiya, no it's a SUNUV lamp. Sun5c :)
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie
Hi !
The sun light looks alike !! I've seen it on Amazon etc for 60$. The le light is 229$ here in Canada.
Have you had any issues with it ?
Love your vids !❤😁
@@Jamielanoie thanks! No I've had no issues. I've been using it 6 hours a day 5 days a week for 7 months. Highly recommended!
my nails are soo short and broken i cant cap free edge
If they're that short, you don't need to worry about capping the free edge so much really anyways :)
wait so it doesnt come off in a whole peace if u didnt file the nailbed??
I'm sorry , I'm not sure what you mean. This is a video about applying gel to the nail. Message me on FB if you can and I'll be able to answer your question better 😊
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie - I think she meant because you barely filed the nail, it looked like you lightly buffed t.
@@NakedBeeeASMR oh yes. Good point. No, I use a 240 grit buffer and that seems to be fine ☺️
