Had he only seen that cad Dominic West would get his hands on his daughter and the house. Such a beautiful place. I do understand they have to finance it, but I hope the girls can do it .

Mad how they're "irish" but all have English accents

This is a very interesting tale, the family seems to be a very happy groupe enjoying such a gorgeous castle.

Did you have old plans, blueprints, photos, and records for the garden as well as the house? Some gardeners kept immaculate records of what they grew, what worked, and what failed.....and even what was needed by Cook.

Interesting take on the murder and colonisation of the chieftain Glynn families ancestral home in the town of GLYNN. unfortunately some of us survived. Why would a man with the surname Fitzgerald be named the knight of Glin ? In the castle of Glin?

Interesting that, except for the Head Gardener and the local Publican, everyone interviewed evinces only English accents... 🙄

Reply to JC, really, you regard beautiful Irish accents as gobshite, how ignorant are you, there is absolutely nothing whatsoever superior about an English accent outside the mindset of those who were born and bred in Ireland and hang onto an English accent as if their very lives depended on it, they sound pathetic.

The upper class in the British Isles, including Ireland, has always spoken in BRP. It is no more "culturally English" than the language you are typing in right now, and the language I assume you speak every day. Get over it.

I feel like the ten hundreds weren't the twelfth century.

Ah, but then I don't think Dun Aengus is on the southern shores of Ireland. So really, what do I know?

I do so get narked when the Irish themselves describe the genocide by the genteel name of " the famine".
So the publican thinks the gentry want to be ordinary" like him 😄
