Great video-watching part 2 now. I tried following printed directions using sport clip and got stuck after the part here as to what order the rubber washers and stainless washers go on, so hopefully part 2 shows that clearly. A suggestion: The strap mounting bolt that attached strap after you align holes on zinc anode-I put my bolt in 180 degrees from what you showed so I would not have to remove the strap. I was able to get a small wrench in on top of the strap to hold the nut, whereas I could net get phillps head screwdriver in unless I removed strap to do like you did. After tightening the anode bolt once I also used a rubber mallet to flatten the strap so it completely conformed before I tried to mount the 2nd small bolt holding the strap to the sport clip. Its surprising to me the instructions are STILL so poor. A few simple edits showing orientation of bolts and washers would be sufficient. It only lists parts and has dotted lines going to where they attach-but with sport clip, aluminum fin on motor and hydrofoil on top it is not clear at all. Thanks for doing these videos!

I used to use one of these until I found the more durable aluminum Orca fin from Uncle norms, it not only helps with my planing ability but maximizes my steering control. I can't say enough how much it has helped me when docking my 22ft Boat.

    Thank you so much.
For any small tohatsu owners. My strap and the mounting plate would not allow the anode to catch a thread. Solution put strap on anode and catch a few threads. Then take mounting plate and secure strap. There will be enough wiggle room to get to that Phillips head screw and tighten it.

This is a very informative video but I strongly feel you can skip some of these steps and go straight to taking off the torque plate and then line up the sport clip.

how did you put the lower free clip plate under the anti cavitation plate??? it is a closed piece. It doesn't fit.

i wanted to install this hydrofoil on my parsun 15hp but I did not know how. It seems that this clip does not fit all outboards.

Hi, just to check with anyone, any idea this SE Sport 300 can be installed on an Evinrude E-tec 300?

Did you find a solution for your 4 meter boat with 9.9HP I’m looking for the same. I noticed this was 8 years ago so you’ve moved on from that no doubt but just wondering how things went for you. Thanks in advance.

Doesn’t seem to fit Yamaha f20. Has both an anode and the trim fin. Rear anode blocks and makes it stuck too far our
