Well I’m glad you had time to rest, but I said in your last show video … sign of the times!! But as we all know, they’re still fun to attend and meet different people from the LEGO community … I’m actually down in Cardiff this weekend so fingers crossed on that one!! Hope you manage to get some rest, although it sounds like you’re going to be busy with a double header this weekend!! Good luck and look forward to the videos!!
Thanks. I've only been to Brick Festivals and National Brick Events, and my busiest were my local ones in Bournemouth and Southampton. There are other, bigger shows though like Bricktastic
The problem I sometimes have is I wake up too early then can't get back to sleep, knowing I have to be up again in an hour or two. I always make sure I have plenty of food and snacks.
Hi. My next show is the NBE at Haywards Heath. I won't be in Gillingham on 23rd I'm afraid. Next year I willbe doing Brick Festivals in Tunbridge Wells and in Maidstone, so not too far away.
@@iainsbricks Ah, thanks for advising! We often go to the one in Maidstone, so if we don't see you at an event this year - should definitely see you at Maidstone 😊
To bad that you did not make that many sales today Iain. Better luck next time 🙂 Last event I went to (in june) my table was across from the enormous GBC, at first I thought that would drive me insane but after 15 minutes you don't even hear it anymore, i hope that was the case for you with the pinball machines 😉
Yes,unfortunately I've had more successful days taking wise. Hopefully next weeks shoes will be better. I managed to find the volume control on the pinball and turn it down!
Thank you. I probably won't make it to Colchester as its a bit far for me to travel. I'll be in Haywards Heath next Sunday at the National Brick Event there - still quite a way from Colchester though.
@@MJGBRICKS I have quite a few. This weekend on Saturday 19th Oct, I'm at the Fan TC Con , comic con on the Isle of Wight, then Sunday 20th I'm.at Haywards Heath NBE. Sat 26th Oct I am at the Hampshire Brick Event in Locks Heath near Fareham, then 2nd November at the Croydon Brick Festival, then the Portsmouth Brick Festival on 10th Nov. Final Event of the year (so far) will be the Exeter NBE on 30th November. Phew!
I met optimus prime at two comic con (one in St. albans and one in Watford), and my friend was scared of him, but I said to my friend he would hurt you, he friendly
It was great to have you Iain! It was a very fun event and we look forward to coming back to Oxford! 😃
See you all at Haywards Heath on Sunday
Was good to meet you , was our furthest show south from Donny
Good to meet you too. Hope your journey back went OK.
@@iainsbricks yes made is back ok just

Hi Lee. I'm hoping Oxford was just a bit of a one off blip.
Hopefully the Haywards Heath NBE on Sunday willbe better.
Best of luck in Cardiff
Looked like a good event! Great video again. Enjoy a well-earned rest today !
Yes, there was a good atmosphere there.
Hope you did well Ian . Thank you for the video.
Matt from Dorset
Hi Matt, unfortunately sales wise it wasn't great, but it was still a very enjoyable event to attend.
@@iainsbrickstoo many choices and sellers who were selling really old sets! A consumers market!!!
@@christophery8927 Yes, there were definitely too many other traders there
What a lovely display
Thanks
Hi Ian. Do you buy as well as sell at these events?
No - I only sell stuff at these events.
Nice video mate 🙂 Where would you say is the biggest, busiest Lego event ?
Thanks. I've only been to Brick Festivals and National Brick Events, and my busiest were my local ones in Bournemouth and Southampton. There are other, bigger shows though like Bricktastic
For the Lego fans maybe but it didn’t look that good for traders?
I don't think people understand how tiring these events can be. I made a rookie error of forgetting food. Hope it went well

If you have a Valerian root tablet before you go to bed, you'll be more likely to sleep through, or get back to sleep 😉
Great show! Would you ever go to the NBE in Gillingham? There is one on 23rd November?

Have you seen the new Piece By Piece Lego movie yet?
Thanks. No, not seen the piece by piece movie yet. Have you? Is it any good?

It's a pretty good film, I watched half of it last night, as I downloaded it on pirate ☠️🦜

Lol! That's a lot less than I would normally take to a show.
Do you ever notice that when you're put in a corner, your sales are worse or not really?
Not really. I was in quite a good position near the door and most people wander around the whole show area

It was a very impressive costume.
