I feel kinda bad for them being in small tanks but here in America they got hundreds of feeder fish bunched up in one tank
That's normal practice for breeding. All breeders do it. I think the difference is that they provide water changes with really quality water.
Also brings out personality of flowerhorn. Had a baby about 3in in a 53gal and was hiding and scared. Moved to a 20gal and was happy. Think it's best to upgrade as fish grows

@@juliac3933 depends on how small of tank and how big of fish. Have about an 8in flowerhorn who was in a 53gal bowfront.. tank started leaking on Christmas Eve and biggest tank I could find was a 20gal long. Fish would almost hide, couldn't swim,was almost depressed and lost most of personality so there is def a limit

True, but the necessary environment required to raise flowerhorn fish for them to develop their head bulge is very demanding.
@@HanMestov not demanding at all. You just need to have a Heater, and a good quality pellets. That's all
@@luffytaro1237 a key part to it is also having a good sized tank, preferably 75 gallons, but you can work with 55. The size of the tank can affect their head bulge which varies a lot. Quite honestly, it looks very comical if it grows enough

Does anyone know if during the "grooming" session where the fish are aggressive w/the mirrors and stuff. Does that stress them out? Are there negative repercussions of that? I know it's to make that part bigger, but I was just curious!

of course it does, which is why they limit the time of the leaving the viewing mirrors with them. Personally i have a 2 inch fry in a 3 divided 10 gal tank. His neighbor is a blue polar which i intentionally placed there to increase the aggression of my flowerhorn.

In the Netherlands, somehow it’s normal whenever someone mentions Texas. Austin Formula 1 Grand Prix, Texas Motor Speedway, Undercover Boss was filmed in Texas quite often i believe as well. I’m sure there are many more :)
In Indonesia too it's normal to hear the word Texas. This is because the fast food joint Church's Fried Chicken is called Texas Fried Chicken here instead. So it's quite common to hear people say "Hey let's go to Texas".

Personally, I don't really like flowerhorns because the pattern on them makes me think of strep throat. 😭
I could never manage that many fish at once I would have an aneurism. But It's still realy fascinating process to learn about. It'll definitely come in handy for future reference. Great video!

Fun fact :- kamfas are different than normal srd/thaisilk or kml flowerhorns bcz to get a kamfa we have to breed a flowerhorn with veija synspelium to get f1 offspring then the f1 female or males are breed with kmls or their selected flowerhorn to get kamfa f2 fries and this thing continues

@@ryanmussio4012 I used to have a gold one which I got as an extra at 2" in a bucket of mixed fish and within 3 months it was 5" and I went from 11 fish to 0. I loved that fish but at the time I did not yet want to keep just one fish. Now that I also have a saltwater tank I would not mind trying a single flowerhorn again.
