It depends on what subject. There's a severe shortage of maths, physics and chemistry teachers in Britain. It's been like this for the last 14 years and with each consecutive year, it's been getting worse. Mainly because British born maths and physics grads like me, wouldn't consider go into teaching because the pay and conditions are so awful. So Britain's government is reliant on importing cheaper foreign teachers who will do the job in exchange for getting a British passport.

Why are you saying that the minimum of 5 years and then you can apply for permanent or indefinite leave is totally wrong and misleading. The criteria has changed.

The rules for people applying are not allowed to bring their spouse. So you need to clear it out as it's misleading

Skilled worker visas still allow applying for an ILR after 5 years. Help me understand which visa you're referring to.
