awsome I love mine and now I have it dialed in with a scope it is super accurate I have been really enjoying shooting it but that is to be said about all my weihrauch air rifles I own.
thanks fo rthe comment and watching the video.

Good Morning buddy! Thanks for all the work and sharing. Really you went and did it? I keep putting it in my cart and taking it out! If I see it for 249 I'm buying. Shooting my pumpers always takes me back to my childhood. Did you have any of the New Benjamin Pellets. I wonder if polishing the barrel would help with accuracy and making more pellets usable? Crosman should have used the original Disco trigger group instead of this less adjustable version! I hope Gamo's NEW VAPOR comes out in .22 caliber. Always enjoy your air rifle content!

Thanks for the great comment and watching the video.
I will say this the accuracy of this air rifle was disappointing being a pump air rifle it should be a lot more accurate then it is in my opinion.
BUt at lweast I have found a pellet that works decent enough for taking out some small game and pest when needed.
I will still take my Weihrauch HW30s and HW50s over this thing any day of the week.
ANd sadly like I said in teh video my 100yr anniversary crosman Legacy 1000 shot more accurately then this one and it only cost $59 so that is something that really makes me scratch my head lol!
anyway thanks again for watching and if yo udo get this air rifle let me know how it is shooting for you.

I got it for $299 and would have returned if paid $399....for sure. But for $299 I did keep it. (But agree it is a bit expensive) at the same time to get anything with minimal plastic - is DAMN hard these days (Sooo sad). I prefer this over other suggestions as its tried and true design mechanically and parts are everywhere. Just make sure to tighten all the screws on the rifle! and clean the barrel right away !!! It will effect the accuracy. Mine is dead on after all of these steps, with gamo rockets or Crosman pellets.
Its also about sustainability, this thing can be repaired in the field with a seal kit (that I always carry). I do think I will refinish my stock later with something more glossy to protect the grain.
Thank you for the review, I occasionally check for more reviews on 362 (i did so just now) and your video popped up!

thanks for your comment and for watching the video.
Mine shot the same with or with out cleaning the barrel and I do always check all y screws on all my air rifles anytime I am shooting them which is a must.
I will say though that weihrauch air rifles are tried and true air rifles that have been around a lot longer and have a better reputation then crosman and are better air rifles any day of the week.
And you can get parts for them everywere if you ever wanted or needed to get parts.
But the great thing about a weihrauch is that you will probably never have to replace anythin gin your lifetime on the rifle as they are built so well and if yo had to it is very easy to do as well just FYI.
But spring air rifles are not for everyone that is for sure but they are my favorites for sure and we all have and like certain air rifles more then others which is ok well.
Thanks again for watching the video and I appreciate the input as well.

@@BravoBassin thank you I will do some more research on weihrauch rifles, I do have a nitro piston gamo. And I keep a few other rifles around. It's good to try it all and see what works for you. I hope you will enjoy that 362, it's one of those that will be a great piece of history not too long into the future

@@adisyamadasa4238 I agree you need to ry different brands o fair rifles and find ones that work for you.
I have a few gamos as well the swarm DX 10x, the bone collector gen3! 10x and the varmit hunter which ithat one is over 10yrs old has the green stock on it.
I need to do a review on that one I have done reviews on the other 2 gamos and I have the cfx as well but it is a piece of junk and I would not recommend the cfx to anyone big waste of money. I have done 3 videos on the cfx and the issues it has.
I alos one several PCP air rifles but I do not like shooting them as much ans mu spring air rifles and my favorites are my weihrauchs and my Air arms tx200.

@@adisyamadasa4238 Cool and ya I am pretty sure that is exactly what they do and I am not sure if they have even made all of them yet as I heard 1 person saying a few months back that they had not even finished making the full run of them yet.
I think they thought they were going to sell like hot cakes and found out that ended up not being the case due to the price for one and then the QC issues for two.

  • @leonstancliff7218
    @leonstancliff7218 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I bought the same rifle, mechanically, with the Benjaman label and a black plastic stock. Crossman owns Benjaman now. My intent was the same as yours, easy to use light and powerful .22 for hunting small game. My opinions and experiences are exactly the same as yours. It is useless until you find the ammo it likes and even then it is barely acceptable due to poor accuracy, and absolutely useless with most of the readily available pellets from big box stores. If you expect food for the pot you are going to get hungry!
I would much prefer to pump up my PCP Diana Stormryder and know I have 20 good full power hunting shots, and go back to the truck to refill with the hand pump, than mess with this frustrating beast. At least I know the Stormryder will group pellets it does not like better than this gun groups its preferred pellets.
I paid too much and got way less than I expected for what I spent.

Thanks for the great comment and watching the video and yes I feel your frustration with this air rifle I wish I had just bought the cometa I was looking at over this one.
And that is why I recommended a few other air rifles that are way better like the wiehrauchs.
This gun was a big waste of money to me and ya unless you are going to starve if you think you are going to put food on the table with this thing.
I personally can shoot it decent enough out to 30yds that I would do ok wiht taking a few pest but for me it is really not accurate enough and consistant enough for me to even try and do that
So ya I agree with you about this gun 100%

Hi my friend. Thanks for again a great review 👍 Just that the fact the rifle has no recoil it should be dead accurate. I would like to see you shooting the Crosman with a scope mounted. Right, the HW's are unbeatable.......The Cometa had be a better choice....Cheers!

And ya as I said in the video I cannot really recommend this air rifle unless you really just want to own the 100 yr anniversary model as I feel it is a big waste of money which I did waste on this air rifle so others will not have to.

I am adding a dovetail to picattiny adapter so I can run a scope.

    • @BravoBassin
      @BravoBassin  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

you do not need that adapter to run a scope on it as it has pin stops on the rail so as long as you have scope rings with the pin stop in it you will be fine unless you just want a picattiny attachment on there.
either way you will be good it boils down to what works best for you.

Enlarge the peep aperture to .080 thousanths by drilling through the hole. My low number 43 of 2,023 is excellent. It is the rifle numbers mid-range in the production run gets sketchy. The rifles getting near the 2,023 are getting checked more.

    • @BravoBassin
      @BravoBassin  หลายเดือนก่อน

well it is not the size of the peep sight hole that is the issue and the fact that this guns are hit and miss on the QC as to if you get a good one or not is pretty much crap in my opinion.
And from what I have seen from all the videos I have watched this gun does not in=mpress me at all other then the stock on mine is nice the sad thing is that my $56 crosman lagacy 1000 anniversary one can out shoot this more expensive one hell my crosman 1322 with open sights is more accurate then this one.
And now crosman ahs been bought by daisy and now will be getting made in china not a big step foward at all pretty much the end of crosman in my opinion.

Bought mine a month ago from PA, s# 16xx. Stock finish is nice on mine, the fit of the pump handle to the main stock isn’t great but good enough.Haven’t shot mine some but not enough to come to any conclusions. I can’t see them not using high quality equipment to make the barrels, I would think they would be very consistent, maybe the pellets aren’t engaging the rifling fully and that’s a factor, might want to try it with a full 8 pumps to make sure the pellet skirts are expanding like they should, I’ll have to get mine out and do more shooting with it, like you I have other high quality air guns.

It has been brought to my attention that Crossman has just sold out to Daisy, which is now owned by Gamo. All Crossman production will cease and the factory in New York will shut down. Apparently it is not a switch to production under new management, but end of production. The name will continue but it will be stamped on a Gamo product.

Yeo you are right Gamo owns Daisy and crosman now so not sure how that is all going tto work out but crosman will no longer be made int eh U.S. anymore from what I am understanding about that situation all three will be gettign made over seas new from what I have heard not sure if that is the facts or not but that is the buzz anyway.
Sad to see actually and not sure how the QC is going to be now either on the plus side all the crosman and daisy orginals will start neone worth more money that is for sure.

Sweet looking rifle there bud . I my opinion not worth the hype. The plastic on the front is kind of a bummer , not a deal breaker but still makes it look cheap . If you go to all the trouble to make in wood , go all the way . I found a Daisy 822 all wood for little over hundred dollars . It wasn't perfect so I refurbished it , but still way cheaper than that . Have you ever tried the Crosman hollow points 14.3 grains , all my 22's love them ? Even at 249 it is still to much . I guess a lot of air gunners think so otherwise they would have sold out on release . Keep talking myself out of this one , unless the price changes . And then you take chance of receiving a beat up one . If I'm paying that much it better be perfect . PERIOD !!! Sheridans can still found , like my Silver Streak in 20 caliber and even paid less . All original , never been apart , still holds air , store it with 2 pumps . Vintage guns rule . Great video .👍

Thanks for the great comment and I could not agree with you more even though mine came with a nice stock I think this gun is a big fail on many levels some of which you touched on and unless they drop this down to $200 or less then I would not waste your money on it because even what I payed for it at $279 in my opinion was just way to high for this air rifle.
I also agree that the older vintage ones like the sheridan and some others are great and way better back then they used all metal on those guns even the crosman 760 back in the day was wood and metal now it is made out of plastic.
So ya save your money my friend unless this thing drops a lot in price.
Also yes I did try the crosman hollow points as well and they shot like crap in this gun as well.

@@joedokes8641 ywp I thought the same thing about the crosman pellets in the past usually a crosman gun woudl shoot the crosman pellets pretty well but no this gun or at least mot the one I got.
And yes crosman has taken a big dive I used to have the 760 all metal with the wood stock when I was a kid and I loved that air rifle killed many critters with that thing and it was my go to squirrel, rabbit and bird gun when I was a kid.

Crazy thing is I have the 1322 with the stock on it and it out shoots this anniversary one all day long kinda blow my mind actually.
