    thanks for thr post, I was unaware of this trail till this video, I scout all my trails based on the scenary, and achieving that top of the world feeling and this trail, has the best views and truly has that top of the fountain feel. I've always wanted to sit atop a mountain ridge and overlook both sides of it at the same time, so this crosses off all my boxes thank you. Heading to BC in two weeks, so excited

    Thank you so much for sharing this relaxing and soothing video. I was lucky enough to visit this stunning place, and it was just out of the world. As someone who has been struggling with a big amount of stress from overworking myself in the past two years, I am finally coming to realize what's important to me and what direction to take. Your video has inspired me to make something special out of my life. Thank you and wishing you the best on your journey :)

    Great video. Scenery is spectacular. I thought you were afraid of heights, according to the Whistler video. Keep it up...

      It was marvellous. For some reason I only feel afraid of heights on man made structures LOL.. Super weird 😂😂😂

    My biggest hike this summer was only 1200 feet of gain (vid on my channel)😅, I wish Ottawa had those insane hikes + views!

    Your video inspired me so much that I drove from Texas just to hike Abbot Ridge last August! I'm now looking for my next hike. Do you have any recommendations on trails that are on par with Abbot or better?

      You're kidding me. That's awesome! You can scour through my old videos and website. But, two areas that are incredible are the Cascades in Washington, USA and also the Yukon. Paddy Peak in Carcross, Kings Throne Trail and the Grizzly Lake overnight trail off the dempster highway are all insane.

    Awesome video. Looking to do this hike this summer but I'll have a dog with me. Dog is athletic but obviously not planning on walking along the ridge with him. Is the trail up to that point decently safe?

      Hey Shelby,
      Would be no problem for a dog up to the start/middle portion of the ridge!
      There's a fair bit of bear activity so I'd double check with parks to see if dogs are allowed on the trail.
      Have fun!

    From your experience, is it typically rainy in these regions between June and Sept and you just got a lucky day/weekend. Or is it typically dry?

    • @riseandalpine
      @riseandalpine  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my experience it usually stays fairly dry - the wild card is wildfire smoke, not rain!

      I think about 6 hours with a trip down to the cool glacial lake.
