My tank looks exactly like this one. Ours is about 4 years old. It's been cycling on and off rapidly. I'm trying to drain the water. I turned off power and the water going into the tank. Water won't flow out of the tank unless I have the air compressor pushing air in What am I doing wrong?
That sounds like the bladder has ruptured. An easy way to check is to turn the power to the pump off and drain the tank. If you can rock it and still hear water sloshing around, it usually means that the tank is water-logged. A water-logged tank needs to be replaced, or it will burn the pump up. 4 years is pretty young for a tank though. There may still be a warranty on it. Well X tanks have a 7 year manufacturer warranty
Great info
@@cyndikonopka2734 thank you
Great info. Thanks!
My pleasure!
What does it mean when you got the water running the pump will keep turning on and off a lot
Does the air pressure have to be let out when drain winterizing a tank?
@@gbass7328 no. You do not need to remove the air to winterize. Just draining the water
