That's why valves and pipes should be *_labeled_* .
Not to mention, it's two dissimilar metals touching each other. It's definitely gonna leak
Seen PEX through a mobile home furnace duct. They did it in the middle of a winter when their lines froze up and under the house was near to inaccessible. VERY cold enviroment. It has never frozen again in the 20 plus years, so I guess I can't falt it 😅
If it doesn't cause sublimation of your soil then why would you fix it just extra drainage I mean if your soil is like drastically eroding and that's not good but other than that why would you fix it
The state requires it
What kind of box? "Zorbshuribshum?"
Absortion system . ( septic tank) .as a hvac plumbing & electrician most absortion systems are R-717 giant refrigeration systems like brewerys are most noted for that type of refrigeration system. But a small one would be a caper style refrigerators are R-717 ( Amonia) Refrigeration.
@@richardcoble9498 lol thank you!!!
A sprinkler above the stove is a good sign you have fire suppression
Out of ALLLLL that space vro, he chose the worst spot. Unbelievable 😂😂
The tank isn't broken, it just decided to get in on the DEI wave, it now identifies as an 18th century cesspit and takes offense to being called a septic tank.
Its just a ruturn air duct.
Not new
Really, ive never seen a return run through the joist space like that. If you asked me, id say the return was in the way of the copper and should be done correctly like the copper.
I saw that one time, someone ran a hot water line to a toilet, that was the only fixture in that house that wasn't froze up that winter.
The founding of the country? Don't think so buddy.... Maybe you should educate yourself before making a stupid statement like that.
🤣go ahead tell me the age of the tree. I’m sure 1 of the 3 brain cells you have left with all that mouth breathing could figure it out
We have an old Whiteoak (we think it's a Whitoak) that the Forestry service days is "the biggest in the Eastern United States. Lighting struck one limb @ 5 years ago. It's hanging in there, but we wonder if we should anchor it to a nearby tree, with a cable or something. Hello from North Carolina
But the guy off craigslist was a hundred bucks cheaper...
Yup, low pH is acidic and it will cause corrosion or rusting; High pH being basic can often also cause issues like buildup. Neither is good but your video is a good warning to people.
How do you change the pH?
Yikes, that customer is gonna be upset. I dont know how they dont consider that before putting up the shed
With that galvanized metal in direct contact with the copper pipe, it’s not a question of “if” it will leak, but when.
Why do ants matter in the water?
Same question 😮
@@waleedahmad3746 I wouldn't mind ants the water is filtered anyways
They’re more of an issue with the electrical components like shorting contacts in pumps and other things. It also means that the seals are worn out and can mean your well getting contaminated from outside sources like runoff.
They may be consuming a dead body ? Just my country thinking
Not really a duct, more of a chase
Return air
Old concrete tank w/ one 4" clean out at the inlet. Can I still install a filter at a reasonable cost?
You would need to have at least a 6" cleanout on the rear of the tank. Installation really depends on the type of lid on the back of the tank and the depth of the system. costs can range from $300-900
I grew up in Philadelphia & the city has two sewer systems, the modern one that is used today & the one built 300 plus years ago out of Belgium Blocks (aka cobble stones) that were used as ballast on the ships. The older sewer system is 5 foot tall inside & the shape is a circle with the floor being level flat cut stone with a carved out canal running down the middle of the floor a few inches lower. It runs throughout the city 30 to 40 feet from the surface. And it was utilized as part of the underground railroad. Many of the oldest homes had hatches in their basements that opened into a shaft with a ladder that lead into it, most likely used to escape the Red Coats would be my guess. I lived in North-East Philly growing up and all of the access pointsI knew of were filled in, but I know of one that is still open, if you go to Torresdale Avenue where it crosses the Penny Pack Creek (south of the closed down Holmesburg Prison), if you follow the creek west the first house you come across on the south side of the creek, right before you reach the house you'll see an opening used as an outlet into the creek. There is no easy way to reach the opening w/o the use of a small boat, but with climbing gear used to get down to its open would be easier. The last thing involving the sewer system was that Bell Telephone Co was running their lines through the tunnels, if you spot a Bell Telephone CO 4 feet across oversized manhole cover, could also be used to enter.
Show ways to attach a long handle to the filter. I have one with a long handle.
where should check valves be?
On the inlet line. Should be one above the pump and as the line enters the house
@@MDwellandsepticguy ok thx!- so is this correct? From submersible pump about 60 feet away from pressure tank- check valve, ball valve, pressure switch, 90 degrees from that is pressure valve, then spigot, then pressure gauge, ball valve, then i go to water filter , . so my question is from inlet side on tee, should pressure switch be first or pressure gauge? and should the pressure valve be 90 degrees from switch or gauge? lastly i have worked with copper and pvc. I am going to attempt pex. i am using those Apollo crimp style rings I bought from menards. I will use the manual crimp tool. Any words of wisdom? THX!
Access caps shouldn't be placed like that because a bit of waste will get stuck there.
I just hate how the access cap is right up against a wall. That seems like a pain in the butt for inspection.
@@K3v114 Whoever plumbed that didn't have OCD. I would have that thing feed into the pipe through a wye instead of letting it collect waste. I seen worst. Sinks without a vent tee.
should you use your :"""""""""" 10x the hits brother
Government just keeping us safe :)
Why would you do this, could this potentially cause mold in your air ducts?❤
Big hugs I don't know anything about construction.❤
It shouldn’t influence mold but more likely issues with corrosion and repairs
Lol. I absolutely found this exact thing in my house. Good ol’ 1974 👍
🤣 older homes always have the most interesting things
Was doing fire protection in condos where the main supply duct was so large it took up ALL the room above the ceiling and prevented our pipes from passing, and they didn't wanto take down, so the resolution we came to and the duct guys had NO problem with (😂😂) was for us to drop our pipe as low as it would go when we needed to pass and to take a sledge and to beat a channel into that duct enough that we could pass our pipes.😂😂😂😂 Such a hilarious hack job.❤❤
I used to think everything union was professional until I realized what a hack job most of the people are. Let's just say, I've been told to do some pretty surprising stuff. Things I thought would be rfi'd or have an engineer oversee. Just write the foremans name on it.
That not tape. If that is tape forget the pipe. Put in actual ducts. Most be a return. Leaking water pipes are never fun. It looks like S but who cares.
Fix (extend) the downspout- the plastic diffusers are just a band-aid on the problem
NO
Is there a filter you can add on the output of the septic tank to prevent solids from reaching the drain field?
Yes there are. They are columnar filters that do exactly what you said. However, every septic contractor has refused to install it for me and I don't know what to do. It seems like it would solve a lot of problems. They said it would clog up too frequently and then cause the toilets to overflow and they didn't want that liability
Effluent filters are the way to go. I’ll have a video on them soon. Zabel filters are my favorite. The filters need to be cleaned every year and take about 5 minutes. There needs to be access to the filter for cleaning. They require a pvc baffle. Theyre worth every penny and a few counties in Maryland are requiring them on new installs. Usually the access will be a 6” clean, 12” riser or a manhole riser
@@MDwellandsepticguy yes! Effluent filters! Looking forward to your video about them but any idea why septic contractors would refuse to install them? To me it sounds like a great fix to the leech field getting plugged with gunk
This guy is teaching new home owners simple things to maintain their homes
As a duct cleaner I can say this is quite common In older homes around here. Also all sorts of cabling just poked through boots and such.
Just upgrade your sump pump.
A shi.Ty deck job
"Underneath of a deck" wasn't a super hot idea either, not when you could've simply had it underneath a deck 😂
It’s done all the time in commercial settings and it’s completely legal.
We had a huge one like that in the front yard at my parents house when i was a kid in the 80's and 90's but my dad cut it down.
This is only one reason why you want to buy a pressure switch with a low-pressure cut-off. (If the gray box has a little lever hanging out the side, that's it.) Run out of water, have a valve closed, it will cut off the pump and not burn it out.
Yeah, it will still work because if there's water trapped In between the 2 shut off valves, the low water cut off will still let the pump run, and the pump will never make pressure dead heading it till it basically burns the impeller out Or building enough pressure due to thermal expansion and damaging something else. Because as you can see the expansion tank also would be shut out.
Install toilets that use 1.3 gal. Per flush. Install water saving shower heads, aerators, front load washer etc.
