masarap po talaga sa feeling mag karon ng malaking bahay n lote...kaya lang ang hirap din pag bayaran na ng property tax, kasi bukod po sa tax ng lote ay may tax din po ang bahy na pinagwa mo, depende pa sa quality ng bahay, materyales na ginamit mo....munincipal n brgy kung saan ka naktira, the more na malaking bahay mas mahal ang taxes...just an input lang po....enjoy ur beautiful haouse.

It's a shame to see western style homes becoming the norm. We have the exact same problem here in the US. We build the same home structure in the freezing Alaska as we do in the hot desert. It is so silly. In hot climates if we built the roof higher so it just covered the house, lots of air flow between roof and house that 50-65C heat in the attic wouldn't drive down into the house. Lowering AC costs, and making the house more comfortable. Traditional Filipino homes understood the value of air flow.
The tiny bit of venting we down hardly changes anything.
