    6:22 shooting form looks just like who? Kobe Bryant. While Kobe never came all the way close to MJ overall, I do give him credit for his game being that pseudo reincarnation of MJs. Having Kobe REALLY softened the impact of MJ leaving on my heart and on the NBA. Without Kobe, MJs 2nd retirement would've been way to jarring. And shout out to Penny, Grant Hill and Shaq for doing the same for MJs 1st retirement. Today's players have been unable to the same for Kobe. BIG thanks to Penny, Kobe, Shaq and Grant. Much love.

    Yeah, the drive/dunk at 5:22 is a testament to MJ's enormous basketball IQ and court awareness. He sets the screen and the semi-slips it as his defender hedges and then both defenders start to go towards the other Bulls player. Jordan knows he has a window to the lane if he hurries, and he immediately takes it. Also, the speed with which he gets from above the FT line to a dunk there is REALLY amazing, especially for a 33 year old. Just amazing court awareness. This is what separates MJ.

    @1:50. So, HOW is 6-1 Jon Starks to guard the 6-6 Jordan if you call him for "fouls" like this, which gets him out of the game in the FIRST quarter, so Jordan gets to go at 6-0 Greg Anthony?

    • @emmanuelenyinwa1443
      @emmanuelenyinwa1443 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** Nothing wrong with that, but isn't this like saying the Toyota Camry can reach speeds of 120 mph, but would you race a Camry against a Porsche 911 and argue "well, speed isn't everything". The reality is that it MATTERED a great deal than the Warriors can throw THREE versatile 6-6 and above wing defenders at LeBron James, unlike the Jordan era when Curry--the average size of Jordan defenders--was all most teams had at their disposal to defend Jordan.

    • @emmanuelenyinwa1443
      @emmanuelenyinwa1443 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +EveryDayIsAGoodDay Again, you are making the "Honda Accord can go 120 miles an hour, so what is the difference between that and a Porsche?" Avery is the EXCEPTION to the rule. To say, well, if he can do it, then everyone can do it is known as the Oprah Winfrey argument. Look around the league. Demar Derozan is 6'7" uber athlete. Bradley Heal is a 6'6" uber athlete. In Miami, Dwayne Wade, even at his worst, is better physically than anyone Jordan ever played against. In Cleveland, 6'5" J R Smith is a better athlete than most of the 2 guards of Jordan's era like Hornacek, Hansen, Starks, Byron Scott or Danny Ainge. In Minnesota, LaVine is as good an athlete as Jordan. In Orlando, 6'5 Oladipo is more athletic than Hersey Frikkken Hawkins, David Wingate, Jim Paxson, Craig Ehlo, Randy Wittman, Dan Marjele, Drazen Petrovic or any of the other stuffs Jordan feasted on. Note that I left out the likes of Iggy, Klay, Tony Allen, and Trevor Ariza.

      @emmanuelenyinwa1443 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      "Hand checking"? WHERE in this clip do you see ANY hand checking? That is one of the big MYTHS of the Jordan era, that there was "hand checking". Because of Jordan's constant whining, hand checking was eliminated in 1994. There was no real hand checking in the 1980s. Go back and watch Jordan's games against stiff white 2 guards Ehlo, Randy Wittman, Danny Ainge and Dan Marjele. ANY time they brushed hi laterally, Jordan was going to the line. Here, I showed you Starks breathing on Jordan and him going to the bench with 3 fouls in the FIRST quarter.

    • @emmanuelenyinwa1443
      @emmanuelenyinwa1443 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      @1:44. Again, WHAT "hand checking" here? This "foul" call is the typical JOKES Jordan got from the refs. Grossly overrated ball hog.

    • @emmanuelenyinwa1443
      @emmanuelenyinwa1443 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** I am SORRY but if Jordan was EVER guarded like LeBron and Kyrie and Shumpert guarded Curry in the Finals last year, Jordan, who couldn't shoot outside 18 feet, would have much worse games than he used to when he would disappear against the Pistons in the late 80s. If the like of Iguodala and Draymond ever played him the way LeBron was played in the Finals the last two years, he would put up Russell Westbrook type efficiency numbers. There are simply no defenders like Craig Ehlo, Randy Wittman, Jeff Malone, Hornacek, Marjele, and Greg Anthony in the NBA anymore.
