23:22 The apathy Dale refers to is a result of a reality that our institutions have been utterly corrupted. It's no longer apathy, it has evolved into despair. I keep voting, but I increasingly think we have a participatory political theater, and not a participatory government.
Nathan, do not allow the Marxist propaganda to fool you. Continue to vote, speak the truth of God’s word in the public square, and leave the results to Christ Jesus.
Abstaining from a vote at a board meeting might make some sort of statement. And for an elected official to abstain from a Congressional vote could even be interpreted as having value depending on the circumstances b/c these votes/abstentions are visible to their constituencies and colleagues. But abstaining from voting in an anonymous vote for a local or national election makes no statement at all except for the statement that when you tell people you didn't vote you show your apathy. You will never have the opportunity to vote for Jesus, the Christ, nor has He ever been on the ballot from the time this country was founded. So for those of you who listened to this and still feel you are justified to not vote a full ballot this November, I beg you to pray for God's guidance and wisdom on this matter and then listen to this again followed by more prayer and research on the issues. I really think it is that important. Perhaps there are details here or there in this podcast that a person may be able to take legitimate issue with. I have found none myself. But to listen to this and then consciously decide to not vote seems to me dereliction of duty both as a Christian and as a citizen of the USA.
I’ll certainly vote against the pro-abortion referendum. Beyond that, I don’t see a candidate in the binary choice dictated to us who reflects the Christian worldview.
The 2020 presidential election serves as a clear example of how critical each vote can be. Arizona: 730,624 Evangelicals did not vote in 2020. Joe Biden won the state by just 10,457 votes.
True, every civil / political government is established by God. But isn't that an incomplete answer as per Roman 13? So, what is the govt established for? what is its God ordained objective?
Being an informed voter means far, far more than just filling in some bubble on a ballot. And making evangelicals into voting block is what has done already and it is extremely damaging because it has turned MAGA Christianity into a cult that is mind controlled by Trump. Abstaining from voting is a perfectly reasonable option that I frequently used in my professional career. If I had limited knowledge and i saw others whom I trusted and knew had greater knowledge, I would abstain.
God bless you brothers! I'm grieved by this because my pastor has informed me he won't be voting for president. I'm losing sleep over this.
Wonderful discussion!

Love you Nathan.
Thank you so much for explaining this. I was confused about this issue for a long time, but I’m not confused anymore thank you. I understand that now
Thank you SO much!!!

It's like you weren't even listening.
