Great idea but my driveway is too narrow to park sideways to the garage opening. I will try to do it off the rear of the rack. Should be about the same with a Gobi rack.
Do you still answer questions on here? If so, How long are the boards... 12 feet? And it looks like you have 5 cross supports (what are their dimensions)? Thanks, in advance
Absolutely genius idea. I shamelessly stole it and it worked great. Thank you for sharing your creation.
Thanks!
One day in the future, people will tell stories about the man that saved herniated discs and blown backbones. He is legend.
Excellent idea well done.
I've now used the similar idea for my fj cruiser
thanks man i love this idea!
oh man. If you could have seen me today, trying to solo drop a rtt from a tall rack to a low profile rack. OSHA would have arrested me.
Awesome idea!!! do you happen to have a list of parts you used? like the hooks?
This is awesome! What is that winch thing you used?
Great idea!
Genius👍🏻🇺🇸
Brilliant!!
This is awesome. I was wondering what did you use to mount the hoist to the garage frame?
Nice work
Bravo!
GREAT IDEA

Were you able to get it back on in reverse order?

What machine are you using to lift it?
Brilliant, could you share some details on the wood dimensions and tackle make and model, thank you.
Sure! 2x10 boards and 4 bicycle hooks. Easy!
what is the weight of your roof top tent?
can make a put on version ?
Video freezes at 0:05 and refuses to play! Is there a forum post with pics of the setup?
Did you use bike hooks to hook onto your gobi rack?
Steve T yes I did. They are rated for 150lbs each and the tent is approx 170lbs. I did 4 hooks.
Manventurer great. Thanks. Ideas 🤔
How do you get it up :)
I put it on the end of the boards and lift in the air then I slide it over. Easy.
