I'd watch an entire series where this character travels around to different locations in the Jane Austen world interacting with the various characters from each novel.
Saw the film last night; witty, fast-paced script - thought this (and the bit before and after it) was one of the highlights. Kate Beckinsale (Lady Susan) and Tom Bennett (Sir James in this clip) had the best lines, imo, and made the most of them

I really liked Kate Beckinsale in this movie! I really don’t think anyone could have nailed the casual callousness of Lady Susan better than her.
She deserved an Oscar nom for this - the best performance of her career I would say.
This actor makes it so absolutely crazy dumb! He is a talent!
lol... "I'd heard church and hill but couldn't find either."
This conversation. Mother of awkward conversations :D
Ranmalee Gamage Was so painful to watch.

Sir James was practically a walk-on part, and then Stillman saw Tom Bennett in the rushes and kept writing new stuff for him.
Sir James was hilarious 😂😂😂
