You ever try to adjust the shock preload after it's fitted? how the hell do they expect you to be able to adjust it with the little straight rod they supply? thanks.
A long shot, but could you link the suspension in the comments or in the description? It´s very difficult to order parts in Norway as there is not much choice, so I have to order international and it would help a lot! :)
Thanks me owd codger for that,I've been thinking along the same lines and awaite your conclusions in a further video before taking the plunge myself,so thanks for being my Guinea pig 😊
Thanks for watching. Not ridden it yet, but install is a 2 person job, that much I can say. Just 4 bolts but quite tricky. Let's hope it works. Give me a few weeks 👍
@@CodgerBiker I am fine. Have to ride little bikes to get my feet down. The TALARIA Sting R (MX4) is fine for the village, the HONDA for longer tours. Having much fun with both. My KTM wanted to see the repair shop too many times, now I am free of Pierer Mobility bikes 😂
I bought the same shock for my 500F. It wasn't good, while the rebound was adjustable, it severely lacked compression damping, unadjustable! I had to pay to get it revalved. I therefore spent more than the cost of the fully adjustable YSS shock. Lesson learnt. Good luck
Yes it's always a gamble to buy 'cheap'. Weather here is very poor just now so I will have to wait to test it. As I said, time will tell if it is an improvement for my riding. 👍
CB, I have to agree with DrJ’s question at the end of the clip “Are you getting some sort of perverse pleasure out of that?”. In your previous video, by your own admission you were chasing a “Hores Box”. You can see how rumours start. 😂😂😂
You're preaching to the converted. Dave Doom & Kalamity Ken built our reputations on the TMJ concept so know exactly how hard it can be and how long it can take. Especially as at some point you will need to take some load off the spring to get it to fit in. You & DrJ will have your work cut out. I'm going on to Paddy Power now to put a 10p bet on that this will be a proper TMJ. 😱😱
The only spring I want to get hold of is the one next May…hate this sh!t weather 😂. Great vid again Codge, keep em coming. Love your work 👍
Couldn’t agree more. Chucked it down here all week. Still not tested that spring. And now the clocks are going back! Got SAD already ☹️👍
I stuck some YSS suspension on my PCX160 in Thailand, and it totally transformed the little scooter.
Still not had a chance to test it properly, winter here. Good to have adjustment though 👍👍

I did. It was fine. But took a while.

I am just downgrading from my KTM 790 AdvR to the new HONDA CB125R 😄👍🏻
How are you? All bikes are fun 👍

Most of my bikes have been Hondas in my life. They tend to be trustworthy. Look after the CB125R and it'll look after you. Have fun! 👍👍

What did you feel was wrong with the stock compression damping? And did you order for the right weight?
Hallo from greece! I'm thinking of changing the back suspension and putting yss. is the investment worth it?
Hello. Only for road riding. For gnarly roads I’d go Rally Raid. 👍
@@CodgerBiker
Yes, it will only be used for the road
I put the YSS shock and fork cartridge kit on my CRF300L. Cheap garbage.

To misquote Oscar Wilde, only thing worse than rumours about yourself, is no rumours! 👍🤣
Looking forward to the fitting video. It has Super TMJ written all over it! 🤔
C'mon, 4 bolts. How hard can that be? 😉🤣

Save your money I've done this kind of thing before & DrJ is a rocket scientist. We'll breeze it 🖖
