The reason of such a low qc is that when they produced laferrari, their license was running out so that they were in serious rush making the models
Incase some one wants this car or has one with black paint sprayed on it, there is a cure I found. I used a dry ease marker and went in a circular motion over the black spots on my laferrari and it removed the black spots perfectly. This really only works on the metal of the car and if it's on the plastic it might take some patience. Hope this helps.
and some people wonder why Ferrari pull its licenses from Mattel?? this is a big reason why
My biggest problem with the model are the massive panel gaps.
Bburago is not as detailed, but Hot Wheels quality control is garbage. They produce a better-detailed model, but with paint flaws, mistmatched doors and hatches, crooked logos and decals, etc. Bburago's finishing of models is 100% superior, even if the detail is much less. It's really a toss up, and any collector should probably own both. The outer finish flaws on the elite though, do not justify the insane price they're going for right now.
Could you compare this to a Maisto lafferari?

I came back purposely to your video just to tell you that the black spots are easily coming off when using a light finishing compound (McGuire or else). It's bound to happen when making high-fidelity models for the masses. They paint the black accent (which they often leave unfinished when on a budget); so they must have been out of time to make sure their hands were 100% clean while finishing the models. Just don't go too much over the tempo badging when you rub it and you'll be taking them off (along with a tiny smidge of red paint) Your model will be even glossier when you're done.
Mine came with so many defects it's absolutely awful. the front splitter is unglued, paint chips everywhere. and the windscreen is detached. wtf

Hmm very insightful it seems to be a nice car...Hotwheels may need to do more quality control inspections these flaws seem to be preventable

Your review solidifies the black model(Flaws all black & also hides seam gaps). I'd say great for FREE way for Amazon to step up.
I have three elite laferraris from HW and all are fine. The yellow one has that grap in the back though

My Laferrari has just a tiny issue. When I disassembled my car, there's a hairline paint scratch near the wheelwell under the metal body which is very noticeable.
Im one of those who just care what the body looks like (i should probably collect resin) I dont like opening shit too often. just put it in a display case. but thats me. I want this model. but would love kyosho to do a hi end version already. bbr? not affordable

Since I saw the Bburago LaFerrari. I don’t know whether to save up for this one or the Bburago one, and I know I’m nowhere close to afford this one 😥
get the bburago. with the black top if you can, since they are becoming rare (the current replacement model is the full red one with black wheels which IMO looks ugly)

If you've seen a real laferrari you'd know There's a gap in between the engine cover body panel and the car it's self
those gaps at the rear are there because the real LaFerrari has space between those panels
the model car still had those gaps when he pressed down on it, but when he took his fingers off the it lifted up, so it wasn't in properly

Just buy the 1/14 rc laferrari from rastar
For me its unacceptable to see over spray hair or anything else in the paint for that price. Mine is a 1/14 ferrari aparta who runs from rastar modified the leds of it i can put it in display if i want with the leds on or i can play but the details the carbon fiber for 40$ is almost unbeatable
How about a BBR Model are they worth it ???
I like BBR a lot. Just depends on how much you like the car in real life haha.

hello... you can fix "the hair in the paint" with a very fine sand paper... cotton and car wax...
wouldnt that remove the paint as well, exposing bare metal?

That LaFerrari looks really great, so much detail and all...but hair in the paint? That's not good, still a very nice model no doubt. Love that F50 as well.

The Burago model is certainly better. Three good reasons not to buy Mattel model:
1) The bonnet does not match the underside leaving an incredible space. An incomprehensible and terrible mistake in the process of designing the model.
2) The engine air outlets, placed in the upper part, there are two grooves due to clumsy junction of the parts. In the car and in the true Burago model they are properly in one piece.
3) The wheels, wheel rims, brake calipers and discs are played much better in Burago model.
All these errors do not justify the Mattel Elite price. The detail of the engine interior and leader of Mattel not worth ever since the accuracy of the Burago model lines. And in addition, the Elite model costs twice that Burago !!
