Having 2 young boys and finding the time to run, this video really spoke to me. Sometimes you just need to step back and realise that whilst you see so many people running a sub 3 hour marathon, they probably dont have a young family and work a full time job.
Love this series as it resonates in so many ways to my current stage of life. I’m a dad of 2 girls and have to wake up early during the week and be back in time to help my wife get out the door for, then shower before getting my girls up. I get them ready and fed before taking them to school and the sitter all before I start my day at work. Keep pushing these videos and showing the true run/life balance. We are all Hobby Joggers.
You're not alone my brother. Same here, I have two little girls and am up at 4AM to run so I can be back by 6AM if not sooner to get my girls up and ready for school. You're not alone. Keep at it.
@ Same to you. That is my typical timeframe as well. It’s a grind, but well worth it to get the run or workout in and still have the rest of the day to whatever else needs to be done.
Thank you, Aubrey, for keeping it real. This video has really touched me as I can relate to it. Family, weekend, chores, house, friends, they all need attention. But we man up and face that damn alarm. Now, ill face that alarm knowing that Aubrey the man himself goes through something similar as my mundane life. Thank you.
Thank you for the video Aubrey.. it meant a lot to us normal people who got work, family etc.. there need to be a good balance to all things and not just running.. ❤from Malaysia 🇲🇾 And good luck in your London marathon journey.. you can do this. Let's go!!
Thank you so much… you are so right… we need to just normalise being normal people and not always making things look like they are better or easier than they are
This video really hit home for me, truly. Well done on such an amazing video that deftly addresses the life / work / family / running of an average runner. Brilliant content as always, keep on inspiring.
This is so real Aubrey, thanks a lot , being a father of a 3 year old & 1 year old with a 14 n half hour (night shift) of work 5 days a week. As much as I want to improve or have a better time in a marathon (currently PB/PR 3:30) looking to improve to 3:20 then maybe sub3 at the end of the year but reality sometimes hit that it might take longer to achieve than someone who doesn't have as much responsibility.
Thank you again ❤❤❤❤ I tend to want to sign up for the next big race but need to scale back and get back to strength and training for the next RunDisney Challenge weekend
Lovely vlog that fella! I’m similar to you, balancing that home life with a little kid but settle goals daily for running and just making sure I’m not losing sight of enjoying ❤🫶 stunning vid fella
Dude, can I be honest? I find all the brand heavy videos a bit grating. This was my favourite Aubrey video yet. Very relatable, great to see your runs and hear about your challenges. I’m running London too - it’s my first marathon. Videos like this really help. Thank you and please continue with the series!
Love the message! Not every workout needs to be a hero workout. You don't need to PR every day. Consistent work over time is what gets you there, along with recovery. If spending time with your family brings you joy, then it's an important part of the plan!
Great video, just into week 2 of Manchester block, out at 5 in the mornings just to get the miles in before work. As runners we try not to let our running interfere with family etc……….keep up the amazing videos, keeps it all real for us 👍🏻
Love it Aubrey. In this world and with the sport of running we hate to love and love to hate, it really isn’t the priority for the bulk of us. Fitting runs in around the family needs to be a priority.
I feel you bro love the episode family growth and balancing life is so important. I’m a single father of twin so time management is something I have had to master. One thing for sure our babies are learning first hand how to implement consistency, balance, while chasing goals. God bless you and the fam there is a lot of heart in this London journey. That’s what this world needs more than anything these days. Let Go… Outstandingoutcomescomefromoutstandingbelief
No better reason to get up at early O'clock in the morning, with minus degree temperatures, than to have some great company on the run and enjoy the wintery scenery. As always, a very well put together video with a very relatable message ❤
I absolutely love this series and especially love seeing the family. It took me twelve years to finally accomplish my first marathon so I understand this video immensely. 🤎 Stuff just takes time! And it won’t be a straight line either. Let’s go Aubrey.
I randomly just stumbled acorss your video, and i can truly say the effort, time and energy put into the video is truly appreciated. The message behind it is super important and i genuinely thank you for sharing it as it's something i needed to hear.
Dude, ur a good guy for real, we met once in park cameras and needed out about cameras for a bit. Positive guy, and seeing how you prioritise your fam is great. I’m a runner too and I recently had my first son so I’m experiencing this now!!
I’m a year in like 10 months into running me and my 10-year-old son did our first 10k race this Saturday he got first place in his age group 47:22 I did it in 44:09 we did 3 weeks for 53/55 miles in a row with 13 miles long runs on sat then we tapered to 27 miles the week of the race and put in work yowana is so right about the mileage, mileage, mileage, high mileage the key is for it never to be high mileage and this week, we’re back to the 54 miles a week agen
Just starting my running journey and honestly waking up early to do your runs is what gives you the time. The only issue is that to wake up early you have to go to sleep early. I'm in my early 30s so making that change wasn't the essiest. Once I get kids that'll throw off my routine surely.
How did you film that opening footage? It has the feel of a serious production with film crew following you since there is no "selfie" or "holding camera at arms length filming yourself"....
One day u will be elite runner, but people would love these average runner videos much more bcz this touches heart ❤️ soul, there's life in it. Love from india 🇮🇳

Me too!

Love this whole series, Aubrey! very uplifting and positive. That's the way to get the year started. Leading by example. ❤
This is a great series Aubrey! I definitely try to schedule my running in a way that doesn’t interfere with family time.
I pressed like because there isn’t a live button. Thanks for the great thoughts brother!

Love this. Top notch👍
-Love it. Thank you.
Good job, agree that you can't force fitness. It takes consistency and dedication to build.

Your time will come !!!
You should be a film director

I love your footage, how can I produce something like that?
Nice video
How did you film that opening footage? It has the feel of a serious production with film crew following you since there is no "selfie" or "holding camera at arms length filming yourself"....
Please, make one video about your family and there attitude towards your training, ok ?😊
👏🏻👏🏻
Everytime I watch one of your videos I want to go out and buy a camera with a humongous lens
How do you not have 20K subscribers? 🤷🏼♂️
Say it with me...
