I just bought this guitar (2024) and I am amazed ! It is so beautiful, front and back. It looks so much better in real life than in any video.
Perfectly built and sounding very good. I thought I might need to change the humbuckers, but these Roswell´s sound really good.
I will definitely be buying another 450-Plus guitar version but in a different color-burst.

This HB Guitars are absolutely great instruments.I"m a old school blues and r and b guitarplayer,writer,singer for over 38 years by now and i love the sound of the motown,stax,chess and the old Clapton and You know the Cream and Stones Taylor Years sound...and so on..This HB Guitars got exactly that kind of spirit...And so is the a SC plus...I got a long to do list Thomann👉🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🤔🎸👌🔝😉😎👍🏽🎸=🎵👌🔝

I ordered mine this month and it arrived quickly. I ordered a Vintage Burst but I receive a guitar that is red in color than a vintage burst. The guitar sounded really well, I decided I'll keep it despite the fact it's not the color I wanted. I messaged Thomann and they actually handled my concern really well,

A hard choice: to buy a Gibson or... 15 Harley Bentons! And spend the difference on upgrades.
I had a lot of Gibsons and also Fenders really expensive guitars (great gits but...) they all needed a upgrade.That is why most people who buy Gibsons and Fenders buy old ones because they been thru all of that.(The old generation of Gibson and Fenders are different and thats why they are expensive like hell🤨)
The only gits that i could use right of the box with a little work,been Harley Benton Guitars or Squier by Fender.The rest...forget about it mate.But thats just my experience that i made with this name.Even if you buy a signature modell it doesn't matter.Nether Clapton or Page would play on a git like that before somebody did an upgrade cause they have their own guitar builder and people who takes care of their guitar army.But people are horny about the name and think if they spend 4000 bucks for a git to get exactly the same like our Masters on Git.Thats an Illusion.But good luck and it is up to everybody...However.
@@J.A.Hansen man, thanks a lot! I own MIM Fender Jaguar and it's really great out of the box. But I still think I should replace pickups and resolder some parts inside. And I really want to get one or two HB guitars to have more sound possibilities.
@@J.A.Hansen I hear what your saying, I have a squire mustang bullit and its awesome. The Kramer baretta is top notch and beats out anything under 300.you need to try one.its in another league. Killer pickup and neck is fast and great feeling
I have 5 HB guitars. No value for HB guitars... too much upgrades needs for play out of the bedroom. pickups, tuners, electronics, liuthers for cheap fretboard alignment and more. They looks great, ok. But terrible playing before all these upgrades. I have sc550, te52, sc450plus, st62, nashville steel.
So tempted to buy a single cut HB guitar! I'm a returning amateur player who's never owned a HB or single cut before, I'm bewildered as which to get 🤯😅! I have to say, they look at my sound great 👌🤘

Hey! How heavy is it?
I have 5 HB's now. three electrics: two with humbuckers a TE52, and 2 acoustics. I really like the HB's, they look good and play good and for a retired person like me, they are attractively affordable. All had to have setup tweaks, mostly for action lowering, but this particular model I had to reverse the saddles on the bass strings to get the intonation to come in and the fretboard was dry. On the TE52 I had to loosen the neck and shift it to get the strings aligned and dress the frets, scratchy cowboy bends. I wish they had a warehouse in the US so shipping didn't hang up in Chicago, but it's still worth the wait. I've got a Squier Strat I bought in the mid 90's that was made in Korea and I probably paid more for that than most of my HB's and the Squier body is plywood. I didn't know until I went to clean the switch, but it just goes to show that you can get a lot more guitar for your money today, especially with the HB's.

@@HavendaleBlvd80 I love it! Even more satisfying is that everyone who plays it- including a Genuine Les Paul Custom owner are blown away by the quality of the instrument. They're much better musicians than I am and they "gush" about the playability and tone. No regrets 👍😁👍
man i’m a les paul guy. well i’m a human guy but i play les pauls. i dig this alot! very impressive. i would like to have one added to my collection.
Thinking on ordering this and comboing with Seymour Duncan humbuckers! Just love the finish on this guitar

Hi, glad you dig it! We use a Marshall Origin currently but i think in this video its a Marshall 1987x.
The current catalogue states a pau ferro fretboard, which is definitely preferable to blackwood. Jimmy Page had a phase reversal knob, which this does not have.
When can we see a baritone version of this and maple fretboard?

Its the exact same guitar and same features and everything, just a different color. the CB stands for Cherry Burst, the one he is playing is the Lemon Drop color.
I have gibson guitars and they are every bit as good if not even better finished
How about a plain maple top without the veneer? For either the 450 or 550.
Could be done yes sure, but most people prefer flamed tops.
Harley Benton please make a version of the SC-450 that's been reliced/aged.

@Harley Benton A tube amp and a solid state would be nice. For a solid state, maybe the Marshall MG100HFX or Boss Katana 100 head and for a tube amp, maybe a Bugera 333XL or a Marshall DSL?
Is there much varience in the appearance of the flame top? Some batches seem to have more obvious wider and darker flame than others.
Hi they are all pretty equal but still every tree is different.

Hi, we are super sorry but this model is indeed not capable of coil splitting.

Does it change something sonically compared to the sc550? They are supposed to have the same pickups...
SC550 does NOT have coil split! So,full humbuckers only.Main difference,other than this,is there is some weight relief on the 550,so the guitar is marginally lighter,and the internal cavity may possibly alter the sustain /tone slightly.Also AAAA flame top,although most reviewers don’t seem to rate it that high.My SC450Plus Honey Burst is absolutely stunning,both visually and musically.Personally,I can’t see the justification for the higher price of the 550.

I have this in Vintage Burst. While it is great for the money I have to say the blackwood isn't a good fretboard material. Please guys, stop using pine on the fretboard and switch to something like lignum rosa or even roseacer. It would make a whole world of differnce, even a slight price increase for it would be totally worth it! :)

Depends on what you are looking for. If you are a little more into classic rock we'd say go with the SC-450 Plus.
I have 4 HBs, all of them are more than competent, regardless of price. They don't leave my living room and they sound great in both my cheapie little practice amps as well as my big boys with the tubes. If you're a headstock jerk, these aren't for you. The HB PRS Hollow body clone is $250. The overseas PRS SE is $1k. The US built is $5k. Is there a difference? Of course...but ask yourself...is it really $4750 better?
A good guitar, but on all HB guitars the TOM bridge is not assembled correctly. This is a NASHVILE TOM, but saddles inserted incorrectly (like ABR-1). It must be turned over to the position of the bolts in the rear. The top three saddles should also be flipped. This makes saddles more fixed as well as stability of tuning and adds a bit more treble. Gibson NASHVILE TOM bridge has a absolutely also construction.

Is the fretboard colour like this or shitty brown jatoba color? Is it because the video is 2 years old and now you changed the fretboard? Cause the new ones in TH-cam look like shit the colour...

I purchased this guitar from Thomanns. The product arrived fine except with a broken high E string...No problem, put new strings on it...I unwound the strings and the nut pops off...Well I glue the nut on and then put on new strings...Well then as I was tuning the strings the entire tuning head broke off from the neck...So I contacted Thomanns and after they reviewed the situation they wanted to blame the post office for the damage instead of their cheap product...Since I live in the US and they are headquartered in Germany I will have to eat this...Just sayin' , Buyer beware!

The push/pull knobs only split the coils. They don't provide the out of phase function. Jimmy Page fans will be dissappointed.
No they won't be, it won't get you all the way as you said but coil split is way more usable than phase inversal. So lots of great tones on tap. Especially for the price this guitars is sold at.
