We bought this smart AC window unit two years ago and HAD to purchase another one the following year because it worked so well! This one is made for medium size apartments, so we have one in our bedroom and one in our living room. Between the two, we are able to efficiently cool down our 3 bedroom apartment.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I purchased the 8k model. Easy to install. It is as you said pretty quiet. I love the WiFi feature and it does a wonderful job cooling my living room which is 12x15. Filter cleaning is easy. I have always had great success with GE products. I got it early in the summer before the heat waves started. I am very pleased with the unit.
Glad you agree! This was definitely a game changer in the summer! We usually had regular stand-up portable units, but for some reason this window unit cooled down the place 10x more!
My a/c turn off and on constantly and I don't know what to do
I have it on cool and high so I can keep going without stopping so maybe I'm just doing something wrong
I just ordered this. Even though my apartment is small, I found 6,000 until ( Perfect Aire Junk ) not to be enough. I'm hoping the 8,000 btu will be much cooler. Best Buy is delivering Saturday. I don't have wi-fi, or anything like that. I hope it's easy!
Let us know how you like it! It has been over 90 degrees where we are located, and it has worked pretty well to cool down two of our rooms

I've been rockin a GE 6000btu for 3 years. It stays on all the time bc, like Texas, Ms is hot too. Thinking of bumping up to an 8000btu.
Can you move the vents up and down as well as side to side on yours?

Yes! You can move the vents up and down + left and right. As far as the no wifi version, I am not sure. I don't think it comes without wifi function.
It's definitely optional to set it up though. I have one of my AC's not even connected to the wifi and it still works fine with just the remote.
@@POP-reviews Good to know - thank you. Did you consider the new "dual inverter" technology? You don't have to buy the U shape to have that feature. I'm wondering if it's worth considering.

Oh i just read that the Refrigerant used in yours and other units is being phased out in 2025 - meaning i need to snag one like yours before they force us into a refrigerant that might not perform as well.

I need a new one the 6000 btu is not cooling well enough on hottest days in Texas. My room is medium
I definitely recommend this 8000 BTU one or higher. It has been working pretty well in my living room during 90+ degree heat in Massachusetts! Not quite Texas, but still works pretty well for us!

This was just a review of our experience. I've had mine for I believe 2 years now, and it still blows cold air and does a great job in cooling down my apartment.

@@lifeisbeautifulvlog8078 I am no expert at all; still it occurred to me that the wifi feature may be your issue? Are y'all using that? This one has several "smart" features which I will never use. Could be you turned something on and it's waiting for your voice command or something., idk, just a thought. I wish you luck
