Looking for some software that can connect AIS receiver(not dongle) with mobile phone and send feed to internet.Like remote station from hill. Is there any around?
Hi in AIS SHARE app under Settings / RTL USB Dongle / There is Tuner gain: Default is Auto Gain Only if you have a strong receiver like a UKW station in the near of your android device you should change it. more infos under www.ebctech.eu/installation-ais-share/
Hi, the video is very interesting. I have an rtl 2832 sdr and I want to connect it to navionics (boating). I have 2 doubts. Should port 3 of the ais output be turned on? should the TCP output be on? Do you know which are the ports for navionics (boating). I would appreciate your eyebrows. thank you so much
Hi, This is Awesome, I was looking for something like this to build at home, can you tell me less the range you have with this? I would like to build something to follow up on some boats I have working in my area.
I am close to a river about 20m above water level. With a self made GP-Antenna arround 8 nautic mile. Think when you close to the sea and have a propper antenna it could be more
@@ebctech769 Yeah I'm located on hillside next to the sea and average around 30nm. Sometimes on a good sunny day I can receive around 34-36 nautical miles away. This is using a marine 156-162.5 AIS fibreglass antenna mounted on a 40FT mast 112m above sea level. Messi and Paoloni low loss coaxial cable and connectors are important too as standard rg58 is too lossy. Most importantly "Height is might" as they say 👍
hello, can i questions ? in your website " www.ebctech.eu/blog/ais-receiver-shopping-guide/" that says cheap RTL2832U R820T SDR RTL-SDR Dongle Stick " You have to find PPM " how i can find PPM from my RTL2832U R820T SDR RTL-SDR Dongle Stick, because i'm using that device thank you
Depends strongly on the antenna and the area. In my example with a GP antenna, river, 12 nautic miles.

For windows there are Software avaliable like Aismoon or rtl_ais , no need to emulate this software
