hello karen. me again with another question. what is the sandwich you use for embossing the cheminey. i have a gemini jr. and i have not been able to figure it out. thanks again for your usual prompt answer.

Hi Joanne. I don't have a Gemeni Jr. so I had to check TH-cam, but the secret seems to be that when you're embossing you DO NOT use your magnetic shim. So your embossing sandwich would be: plate/thin plastic shim/die on it's back, blade-side-up/paper/squishy black embossing mat/plate - hope this helps!

me again. what is the difference between your beige and purple mats. is rubber embossing mat the same a a silicone mat?

For a Platinum 6 it comes with those two mats. The beige is the squishy mat. Not sure what it’s made of but it’s squishy. The purple mat is hard. If you search TH-cam for embossing a die with your machine you’ll find some good how-to’s. Hope this helps.
