I've heard this mic sound okay, good, and but setup sounds great. Great job!

Anyone that says it sounds “good” is tweaking.. the PD400X sounds freaking phenomenal! Especially connected via XLR. Thanks for watching bro!

@@AaronOverEverything I totally agree. After your video I bought the Maono PD 400X. I just tested it against the Monoprice Memphis Blue (cool looking and surprisingly good for the price), the Rode NT1A (my old mic), and the Rode Procaster (what I have been using). All these mics were tested through my Rodecaster Pro 2 with the broadcast preset. The Maono PD 400X hands down sounds the best, followed by the Monoprice and Rodecaster (different sounds, personal preference I guess, but to me a tie). The only issue I have with the PD 400X is it seems to pick up more background noise than the Rode Procaster, that being the only trade-off. I am replacing my Rode Procaster with the Maono PD 400X, it just has a fuller and more pleasing sound than the Procaster, much to my surprise. Thanks again, Aaron. If it wasn't for this great sounding video you posted, I would have never bought the Maono, and I'm glad I have it now.

@@DelusionsofaDisorderedMind just wow! Thanks a LOT for this comment. I rarely do reviews like this, but when I do it makes me want to do them more when I see how much they help people out. Thanks again for the feedback!
/sidebar/ after checking out your channel & website, I have subscribed also, March 8th 2009 I encountered a UFO bro! I even reported to MUFON. You can find the report on the official logs of MUFON. Are you planning on creating some content?! I’d LOVE to chop it up bro💪🏽🫡

I love your energy and presentation style as well as your fast edit style. That said I’ve used both those microphones and the pop filter does help reduce plosives on the ffine and the Maono because these mics are terrible for plosives BUT both those microphones still pop when you talk into the end of the microphone just less. I’ve found that most of the mics made by these brands require serious mic technique including off axis placement to avoid plosives. Keep up the good work!😊

Awesome video, Aaron. After watching this & hunting down the final microphone, I'm definitely be looking at Maono PD400X (shoot, I might try out Rode WS14 pop filter)!

@@AaronOverEverythingThanks! I've been watching Maono PD400X review videos for a couple of years now. After getting it, I'll go after heavy duty low profile 🎤 boom arm in the future.

I'm wondering if it blocks the mute button on the Maono PD400x?
