I have just read the comments and feel I need to also say great design and build. I especially like the bushing method you used for the ram slide. The other thing in this design I took particular note of was the spring arrangement, well done. I will follow this design closely when I build mine, many thanks for the time to upload. Cheers from John, Australia.
Damn great , great start , I would love to see that beast fully mounted up and in action ! You sir. , have built a simply fine looking hammer ! Dammit , I want one !!! LOL
Only 34 comments whaaa ???? This is awesome and one of the more powerful and smooth runing hammers I've seen on you tube period , this is awesome !!!!! Plain and simple good job man I would buy the plans if they're for sale i'd like one just like it if you didn't mind
if i had a plan, i would give it to you for free, but i don‘t have one..... just start to build your hammer, i can give you some dimensions if you need....
it depends on the weight of the ram, and how far the axis is out of center... when i release the break, i can move the tire with one finger! ram is about 20kg, lead is about 9kg....
Jo Simon merci pour cette video .travail remarquable de simplicité et efficacité. whatis the mesure between tire center and the pivot? je vais construire un marteau similaire.
@@f00fight3r merci, so the mouvement of the HAMMER FROM THE HIGHEST POSITION TO THE LOWER POSITION is around 80mmm is it right and is it enough? just to make some knives and Damas ?thank's a lot for your answer . i start my project next week!
trad archer i don‘t have plans. i made it out of my head and some videos here on youtube..... i can give you some measurements if you need for free, i don‘t sell my ideas....
MrChugar45 it cost me about 80 hours in the shop( and about 1000 hours in my head)😉 i‘m working for a small village and we have our own junkyard where people can bring stuff, i bought the motor, the round stock for the anvil and a few other things like bearings etc....it was about 600$ hello from switzerland
David Ramsey just keep adding weight until the hammer runs smooth. when i release the break, i can turn the tire by one finger and he keeps the position.
Just seen this I am wondering how quite is the actual mechanism not the hammer as that's going to be noisy , just the actual mechanism? Some other designs seem very rattly
Awww man what happened to A.C.D.C lol I loved that man it made it bad to the bone I it almost gave me chills watching it with that in background as silly as that sounds lol
This may have been the video I needed to get my tire hammer build started.. badass build sir, it looks like a store bought machine. Thank you!
Awesome build and finally a propper use for a space saver tire! Whoever thought it was a good idea to put those on a car was totally insane!!! Lol

joandar1 thanks mate!
Nicest design and build.
Good work! Clean ,and very complete! Congratulations!

Hi. Great build! What is the name of the sleeve you use as guide for the hammer? Thanks
Great build! Gives me ideas for mine!
really tidy build
WELL DONE! Does the lead counterweight = all forward moving parts? Damn good balance, o and best shop music!

I like it ,also a super smooth design
Thank you for sharing bro 👊🏻
Sehrgute Arbeit! Top!
Ausl Wolf danke!

merci pour cette video .travail remarquable de simplicité et efficacité.
whatis the mesure between tire center and the pivot?
je vais construire un marteau similaire.
merci bien!
the pivot is about 40mm out of center...
@@f00fight3r merci, so the mouvement of the HAMMER FROM THE HIGHEST POSITION TO THE LOWER POSITION is around 80mmm is it right and is it enough?
just to make some knives and Damas ?thank's a lot for your answer . i start my project next week!
Sundance Sundance yes 80mm is enough. when you turn the tire by hand it‘s 80 mm, but when it runs fast, it‘s way more, because of the spring.....
Sehr geil. Bist auch der Bastler wie ich. Man muss sich immer selbst zu helfen wissen...
Gruss Floggä.

Freizeitflugsphäre das gleicht die grosse spiralfeder aus! hat aber auch grenzen.....
What are the dimensions of the arms that move the ram?
BurlyWoodWorks they are about 350mm long ( from bolt to bolt), made out of flat stock 50 by 10mm. they build a 22 degree angle.
@@f00fight3r Sweet thanks! I'm finally getting around to building one of these, what did you use to mount the tire to the frame?
0:06-0:14.....
Very nice. Was that a hydraulic ram you used for the hammer?
Michael Clark yes, it‘s a piston rod from a hydraulic cylinder (65mm diameter). i just hardened the tip.
I'd like to know where you got the hammer whith the sleeve. Teflon?
Jessop's Forge it’s Polyoxymethylen, POM. very durable....
would it be possible to get a parts list in any way ?
Xencept Psyrun no, i don‘t have plans or part lists. i just did it step by step......
How much sir ..?
it‘s priceless😉
Big like this machine
Great build! Any chance you have plans for sale?
trad archer i don‘t have plans. i made it out of my head and some videos here on youtube..... i can give you some measurements if you need for free, i don‘t sell my ideas....
Sutter Knives Sounds great!
How do I get in touch with you?
trad archer well, i‘m from switzerland....
Can you tell me the weight of the counterweight in relation to the hammer mechanism?👍👍cheers
no i can‘t..... i just added weight until it ran smooth! then i poured the lead into a form that fits in the rim!
i think there is no formula.....
Sir frame height square pipe thikness
Hi Welches Bärgewicht hat der Hammer und welche feder hast du da verbaut?
hallo, der bär( kolbenstange hydraulikzylinder) wiegt ca. 18kg. die feder ist von einem KTM motocross motorrad.
Where can I get a set of drawings for this hammer?
nowhere, i made it out of my head and some videos here....
Can I please have the dimensions of the connecting arms between the rotation pivot and the connecting to the hammer
350mm (from bolt to bolt)
Neet, but..................When the tire goes flat or wears out, how will you replace it?
Herman Wulf i disassemble the the tire and put a new one on, by hand, in about 20 years....
Please, tell in more detail details from what make of the car you used? Thanks.
Hellhammer2010 doesn‘t matter, you just need a tire and the wheel hub. think it was a daihatsu....
I love that style! Looks like Murray Carters 👍 I’m just curious, how much did it cost you to build this?
MrChugar45 it cost me about 80 hours in the shop( and about 1000 hours in my head)😉

hello from switzerland
Sutter Knives haha thanks!!
Tyre size
125/70 D14
Klo saya boleh tau ,dinamo berapakah itu
1.5 Kw
Ram size
80mm diameter
How did you figure up how much counter weight you needed?
David Ramsey just keep adding weight until the hammer runs smooth. when i release the break, i can turn the tire by one finger and he keeps the position.
@@f00fight3r ok I was just curious because I noticed that you casted it in lead.
Otherwise it looks like it works great.
David Ramsey yes i had a struggle until i had the right weight, and after that i casted about 9.5 kg lead in a form that fits in the rim!
@@f00fight3r ok, thanks for responding back to me, and keep hammering.
Sir please I need some frame size
Give some mesurment
wich frame???
Just seen this I am wondering how quite is the actual mechanism not the hammer as that's going to be noisy , just the actual mechanism?

Brett Mciver you just hear the motor and the pulley thats running on the tire.... no rattling
@@f00fight3r
Thanks for the reply and is there any squeak from the tire engaging? I like the design BTW.
