really fantastically informative series. thanks v much!! I have a questions: I am struggling to understand in DIS system why carbon tracking leads to less V required to fire plug, and in related way, why spark burrowing into the coil would not stop the wasted plug spark altogether. Give elec takes easiest path to ground, why does spark plug fire at all under these conditions?? Do you think that the spark line with low initial V, then sloping up, could also be caused by low compression (leaking valve) ... ie low V at first due to low compression, higher at the end due to high compression even during compromised ignition of AF mix?? However this violates the inside-outside cylinder rule ... left of spark line should indicate external problem?? Very interested in your views on this.
    Thanks
    Alex
