I found mine this morning leaking air out around the plunger shaft. I knew it wasn't the check valve because it was covered with liquid in the half-filled sprayer. After a lot of inspection showing up nothing, as a last resort, I wrapped the pump threads heavily with Teflon tape. That stopped the air leak. I'm guessing there is a hairline crack somewhere in the threading in that black plastic.
The problem with mine is the fluid is bubbling out of the top portion when the handle is either up or locked down. It’s not holding pressure either and I believe it’s from the top
If it’s still leaking after this repair then seal up hole with hot glue problem solved you won’t have air check valve so be careful not to pump to much!
You're welcome. I had to clean out the spray tip on ours a few days ago. I just unscrewed the spray nozzle, pulled out the white rubber piece, blew out the debris, and it is working much better now.
DIY with Dave yes, I gave it a good cleaning, took everything that I could apart. Looked in good order however when I put it all back...ta da! It worked great! Thanks again!
Okay wow, this was my exact problem. Thanks!!! I just used a mini rubberband from the ones I use for my daughters hair. Worked like a charm.
Glad it helped.
28 thousand of us are sick of HDX products failing.
I just tossed a 6ith one in the trash after only a second use, that's about all I get out of them.
Tysm. All fixed

That happened to me also, but it was because the top wasn't fully tightened.
Is there any place that sells a replacement valve? Mine is broken.

My inexpensive pressure relief valve (the red tip that you lift up) is leaking . Took it off and the spring looks fine. Any suggestions?
Not without looking at it.
I just need to plug the hole. Can't make foam with low psi
Thanks
um no Scott
Brand new won't spray
Thanks for this vid. I’m going to try it. I took it all apart. Everything seems to be in place. Maybe a new valve.
